Updating my unattended XP CD source

Please I'd like to update my XP CD source and would like to ask few questions about this regard.

1) Which add on or package has the most recent updates so I can integrate it after integrating XP SP3!?

2) After applying this add on or this package does there is any extra hotfixes I am still need to integrate into the XP CD source!?

user_hidden's, OnePiece's and Xable's update packs are all up to date. OnePiece provides an all-in-one solution, Xable offers the bare essentials, and user_hidden's is a great balance between the two. It's up to you to decide which serves your needs best.

redxii seems to have taken a break from updating. I don't know if or when he will return.

1st => integrate SP3 into the source.
2nd=> integrate one piece package into the source.
3rd=> integrate wmp11 using wmp slip streamer.
4th=> integrate driver packs packages.
5th=> using WinntbbuED for setup billboard.
6th=> using wpi to add applications silently.

Do you think that there is anything missing or need to be done!?

WMP11 is included in OnePiece's update pack. You don't need to use the slipstreamer. Everything else seems good.

KB898461 is for Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP1, isn't this included in SP3?

Also, KB948720 says this applies to Windows Server 2008 Datacenter, Windows Server 2008 Enterprise and Windows Server 2008 Standard so why is it included in user_hidden and OnePiece update packs for Windows XP Service Pack 3?

After a 3 days work I piled down a list of 188 hotfixes (without counting KB892130 and KB905474 like in his list). I'm not 100% sure if my list is only for SP3 with IE6 and WMP9 and has some updates for later versions of IE or WMP. Will check that out some other time.

quite a long list isn't it? I would appreciate some feedback about the stuff I found.

I wonder if KB945060 is included in SP3, cos the date on the file it fixes is 4/09/2008 and SP3 was released 5/6/2008.

I haven't found anything about KB974841, KB975791, KB978125 and
KB965220. Got any links?

I mean I want to have an updated XP CD but really confused now, I've downloaded one piece package as it is the comprehensive one as mentioned above, so shall I go with it or you advise for something else!?

it simple and integrating will do the job quite well

so it's up to you to do the choose

Rather than argue over individual updates, I'll offer this single screenshot of an XP SP3 install with XUpdatePack-SP3-v1.0.27.7z. The only addon used was for WGA.



And his updates list is accurate...

If it WU doesn't say you are missing some fixes thus doesn't mean you got ALL the updates that are available for SP3.

Taking Xable's update pack as an example I just pointed out that there are some new versions of some files.

Anyway, checked a new round of fixes I found and here are the results:

There is obviously some miscommunication here. Please allow me to clarify:

• Xable does not include QFE updates. He only includes high priority updates that appear on the Windows Update website.

By that definition and the screenshot I have provided, his update pack is up to date.

• Microsoft Update site / Windows Update site / Automatic Updates / (All GDR updates) - Xable's update pack is up to date.
• All QFE updates released by Microsoft - Not intended to be up to date.
