Intel mass storage and NVIDIA nForce integration

Post by jtan2000 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 10:53 am

Hi,

I use RVM Integrator to integrate post xp sp3 update and driverpack DP_MassStorage_wnt5_x86-32_901.7z

Is it necessary to integrate the two following separately using nlite or they are include in the driverpack db mass storage?

The objective to create xp cd that will work for any sata, achi or raid.

Intel SATA AHCI or SATA RAID drivers
http://www.msfn.org/board/integration-i ... 07504.html

NVIDIA nForce RAID or AHCI system
http://www.msfn.org/board/integration-n ... 51140.html

Please advice and thank you.

Uncertain for that version of the Mass Storage DriverPack, but there are NEWER versions, including BETA versions, that SHOULD have all the drivers you need.

Let's put it this way - I use the latest Packs I can find and I haven't met a computer I can't boot from either CD/DVD or USB flashdrive.

I only use DriverPack_BASE to do the integration, so I can't speak for any other tool.

nLite is used to add update packs and make configuration changes, but the DP_BASE tool is used to integrate drivers.

Good luck!

I already answered you over at DriverPacks.net.
But I'll answer here too for completeness sake.

This is already answered in the DriverPacks FAQ.

NEVER integrate drivers with nlite along with DriverPacks using DriverPacks BASE.
Your integration WILL fail.

driverpack questions should be asked (and answered) over at driverpacks.net.

mods could probably close this thread

Totally unnecessary to ask here! Close the thread.
But yes, a new version of Mass Storage DriverPack 10.06 is imminent!
