thanks electrogen.

I downloaded the files and followed all directions. During the process i am getting the following message at the end of every "adding package" section - "PEIMG failed to complete the operation with status code 0x80070002". the entire process did complete and the iso was created. I did a 2nd download, just in case the 1st one somehow got corrupted, and repeated - with the same result. is this error a problem or am I good to go?

thanks again for great work.

I built the pack using Vista premium - which was updated using your 1.0.3 update. BTW, I used my Vista DVD as the source, not the previous 1.0.3 update.

edit - Vista Utimate, not premium.

right ok you need to right click the run.bat file and run as an administrator other than that i don't know what the problem is. i will have a look at the pack see iff there is a typo anywhere.

"right click the run.bat file and run as an administrator" - that's they way I ran it.

Just a thought. Would the error apply to the previous line of code? The last line before the error message was referencing a folder. I do not recall the folder name right now but I wrote it down at the time. I am at work and will post back tonight with this folder reference.

ok - the reference just before the error message was to "WSUSSCAN.CAB". I didn't write down the full text, just the end reference. hope this helps.

Thanks for the pack. I have Vista Ultimate. After making the procedure and installed the new, updated Vista to a clean system, I still have to download the below updates from MS:

KB929916
KB933360
KB933928
KB937077
KB938123
KB941229
KB941600
KB941649

My finished updated Vista is not 50 MB bigger, but with 240 MB.

I don't think I missed any step during the procedure. Any idea?

yes there were some updates that i had deleted from the original archive so these are the updates are the ones that need to be downloaded, these updates will be added to the next release., Also the 50MB thing was for the first release, as there is more updates it will obviously be bigger. Hope this helps. :D

mate read the instructions carefully.
place the downloaded folder "Vista_Update_Pack_V1.0.7" on your system drive or it wont work
(c:, or if you installed your OS on a another drive letter),
and then right click and the choose run as administrator

i hope this helps

It is working now like a charm.

I have a 32/64 AIO Vista DVD. Ist it possible to update this iso as well?

Maybe we need then a combínated update pack.

Hi there! It's my first post here, and Im glad to share my experiences. I made a new Win XP Home Edition CD with Sevice Pack 3 and the necessary massstorage. Lan, Audio and Graphics, etc. I used DPs Base 805 tool to integarate DriverPacks especially the MassStorage Sata Driver. I Used RVM Integrator To slipstream Service Pack 3, ofcourse I did Slipstream first, then integrate DriverPacks. I will say that everything went smoothly with no problem at all. All I did was I follow all the Instruction in the Forums. I like to thank you Guys for this magnificent TOOLs. I really need it to do a New Windows XP CD to be able to install Wni XP in my Gateway PC wich doesn't have a floppy Disk. By the way I also manage to do TRIPLE MULTI BOOT ( Win Vista, Win XP & OpenSuse 11.1) very easy. I will talk about it in my next post. Once again Thanks!!!

NEW Vista Update Pack V1 0 7

Post by MichaelPeerm » Fri Jun 15, 2018 7:23 pm

I have just bought a new PC, and wonder what the best way to install is? Can I just take the latest update and install it or should I use my original disk which will be sooooooo out of date then update, then copy my data over the top, or should I use the restore faclitiy?
