Do you mean a .net 1.1 removal addon?
This is rather simple to build. The uninstallation of a "true-integrated" 1.1 on a live system is not so easy, instead.

If a removal addon is enough, Onepiece can let it available in a few time.

Found a bug with ocgen.dll during the uninstallation.
You can fix your running system without the need to reinstall Windows:

extract the whole archive, run Netfx_repair.inf then restart Windows.

If you need to rebuild a new Windows 2000 disc, simply add .net 2.0 addon for w2k over UpdatePack. This will overwrite existing files. use UpdatePack v5.0.0 final.

v5.0.0 is the last release. Also WU dropped W2k definitively. All bugs are fixed. MRT is updated to v3.9 but WU doesn't allow you to do it automatically. If you like to keep MRT updated in your source, next Patch Tuesday download MRT manually and change pack mrt.exe file with new one.

I was wondering since no further work is being developed on win2k/updatepack, i was wondering if i could have an explaining how to make your entries.ini modular; ie only integrate Updates and not flash/silverlight/.net 2

such as a commented selection in entries.ini;these belong to flash, or .net so i can customize it and buid a ONLY critical updates addon. You've done some good work, but i was hoping for just WU. I could try it myself, as i have an idea of what to strip out of the ini and files, but id rather ask you if you wouldn't mind?

It's not so easy. Win2k UP is more like a genuine Service Pack compared to other Onepiece's Updatepacks: additions are done directly from syssetup.inf file, there's not even a svcpack folder.

Anyway Win2k Updatepack is also the slimmer one: updated source always fit a regular CD.
So if you can't remove them, you could disable their integration by manually modifying .inf files. For example,

A note about Silverlight. v4 is now included in UpdatePack. Windows 2000 is not listed in availables OSes for Silverlight 5. Anyway seems it works flawlessy. So if you want to give it a try, you can integrate Silverlight v5 addon (DL links available in first post) over your win2k source. NB it needs the presence of Onepiece's w2k updatepack, it can't be used alone.

No problems at all, it's the way Onepiece usually suggests when he got no time to update the whole pack.

When there will be time to rebuild the updatepack, Onepiece will consider to add the custom updates you kindly provide.

I want to add some important info about the custom updates:

1) 983838, 2347290, 2483185 are perfectly fine and unproblematic.
2) 2482017 is not compatible with WildBill's unofficial packages (mainly 2479628). It breaks the new 32-bit icon support intruduced by WB and the system becomes almost unusable (some icons not displayed, etc.).

Using a 2000 sp4 system, running RyanVM Integrator v 1.6.1b2.1, I'm trying to integrate 2000 Post-SP4 Update Pack v5.0.2 Final Enu with a 2000 SP4 oem source.

Using Daemon iso as source E:\ (E:\I386 is folder), and hdd D:\... as target, for some reason Integrator asks for location of network install file for SP4. Integrator didn't recognize my SP4 oem? when SP4 network pack tried to install, it did, and install failsl? edit--I had been swapping hdds and got lost which one was in, but I can confirm that it was a std M$ CD 2ksp4 oem install, and not a HFSLIP from tomasz86. I haven't tried Integrator with his.

When fed the location of W2KSP4_EN.EXE, a red-X message pops up saying SP4 can't be installed on top of itself. (something like that ...)

If I esc-out or if I return [OK] on the red-X, or if I esc-out of the file location request, integration is stopped.

edit -- I get same results with Integrator v1.6. I couldn't find v1.6.1. the nLite workaround appears to work ... don't know why codebox doesn't work below ...

Nonno/Onepiece, when I try to use this addon on a clean SP4 source, I get errors during setup.

I am testing it using Virtualbox 4.2.0, host OS Win 7 64-bit.

The error I get comes after it says it's installing networking components, during the "completing installation of Microsoft .NET framework 2" stage. The error is a CMD windows pops up saying "secedit.exe: An extended error has occurred. Task is completed with error. See log c:\winnt\security\logs\hfsecupd.log for detail info."

But I can't see that file because the VM reboots immediately after and setup starts all over again.

Am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: ok finally got past the infinite reboot somehow, here is the contents of my setuperr.log:

@molecule, I get the same issue. I work around it by making source = destination, so I copy my SP4 source to a new location and let the integrator work on the new copy in place.

Also saw an issue where i386 folder was being renamed " i386" somehow (note the leading space character).

Hmm, ok. Did you use RVMI 1.6.1 beta 2.1 or some other version?

I'll try making an ISO of my SP4 source with RVMI and see if my MD5 matches yours. Did you download your ISO or make it yourself?

as noob, when I first ran ryanVMi I hadn't yet realized that it makes good sense to set the output dir = source dir (how could it be any other way?)

when I ran Update Pack v5.0.2 with RVMI 1.6.1 b2.1 in a 2k machine, it ran flawlessly!! THANKS!!

this might be an irrelevant side note relative to need for RVMI in 2K to have source=output ... there is something happening between ? my bios + usb controller in a P43neo3f MSI mobo with AMI bios v1.3 running 2k of course ... in order to see a Boot USB, bios has to scan hdds (USBs) in "Legacy mode" (i.e. no legacy mode = no boot usb ... a nice safety feature actually) ... In RVMI, when I press the [...] button to open Select Source Location, I get a list of drives ... but when I first select a drive, I have to click through a series of red(X) errors ... 2K looks for a missing bootUSB even though it had been properly withdrawn ... perhaps its my 2ksp4 system sitting on top of a ICH10 with XP drivers for USB ... so is probably not related to need for source=output in RVMI in 2K but ...

back to the point, does RVMI integrate KB975560 for DX9 gaming?

I ran one piece's UpdatePack 502 with

an Addon cab built for DX9 gaming version Feb-2010 using bphlpt's DXCB DirectX Collector Builder at [url="http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8517"]link[/url] 109 meg reduced down to 12 meg ... nice

plus two MS patches for Dx9 gaming, 975560 for Dx9 gaming and 975562.

Thus, SP4iso-gold + 4 files: 1 update 502 + 3 addons ... cab by DXCB + two MS exe patches.)

Update Pack 502 has Dx9c (std?), so I'm assumed it includes the 975560 for 9c std in 2k, and not the same KB-number (arghh) for 2k with Dx 9 gaming.

Long story short, in the RVMI iso, the quartz.dll update v6.5.1.914 is included in the I386/SVCPACK folder via Windows2000-DirectX9-KB975562-x86-ENU.exe.

However, using my file searcher (which admittedly doesn't search inside cab files), the file msyuv.dll v5.3.0.901 from Windows2000-DirectX9-KB975560-x86-ENU.exe is not

I'm no .inf maven (I can hardly read them!), but it looks like it should be included ... When I run the same 4-files in nLite (which develops an entirely different iso structure, in which case my file searcher can fine it) the file is included under I386 of the final iso.

Would be lovely if someone who knew INFs could convert the reg file to inf for the 48bit LBA patch for 2k. I must be a terrible searcher but I can't find a reg2inf converter ... the cloud links are there but it seems the great file manager in the "cloud" has removed all their copies

Quartz.dll file is default in win2k sp4. It is updated, non added, by updatepack and its latest update is Windows2000-KB975560-x86-ENU and not Windows2000-DirectX9-KB975560-x86-ENU; Windows2000-DirectX9-KB975560-x86-ENU contains v6.5.1.913

Also Msyuv.dll is a Win 2k default file, present inside driver.cab.
Onepiece's updatepack updates it directly in "true mode, not using Sysoc.inf, like all DirectX or WMP9 files and so on.
In fact you will not see any Svcpack folder addition due to updatepack integration.

After a basic integration on a clean CD and updatepack you will find this:

If not, something went wrong in the integration process and you must start again from scratch.

DirectX 9 are already present in Update Pack, does not need to integrate after Update Pack other addon

Thanks nonno and onepiece for the reply. So of course I made the ISO of my source and the md5 did not match, so I found an ISO and downloading it to try.

Since so many others are reporting no issues, I'm beginning to suspect a bug in Virtualbox of some kind. Do you guys test your packs with Virtualbox, VMware, VirtualPC, real hardware? All of the above? None of the above?

I was wondering about the last value ... 0x0001 ... KB305098 and other .reg examples for 2k uses a DWORD value of 0x1 or 0x00000001, instead of 0x10001 ... maybe 0x10001 is .inf speak for DWORD? and the value is 1?

I'm adding this tweak to the thread because other users of this WONDERFUL UpdatePack might be building LBA hdds and a 2k version for this tweak in inf format is hard to find.

edit -- I just remembered ... I built a Onepiece 502 machine using nLite, then I ran RVMI ... I missed the tweak in nLite for 48bit LBAs ... I was thinking of devices and system, it was under Explorer ... I had a 500G hdd mounted without 48bit flag set ... I didn't read or write to it thank goodness, but win 2K was having an aweful time with assigning drive letters ... it couldn't figure out what letters to assign ... thus the red-(X) messages

possible moral, if you're trying to run RVMI in a 2K machine with a hdd larger than 128G, and don't have the LBA flag set, then the system ends up in some kind of loop trying to assign drive letters for all the other drives as well ... Thus, even if the big hdd is not used, it will still gag the system ... and that might be what RVMI was catching on??

this might be completely unnecessary information ... I hadn't brought it up earlier since I figured the 2K updatepack was kind of settled ... there's a hotfix that doesn't appear on your list and didn't appear on formerly bristol's (now tomasz86's) comprehensive 2K list (including Hotfix By Request's) ... tomasz86 says the versions have been superceded in his update pack but he's developing an extended post-MS version. I don't know if it was ever superceded by strict MS patches. If not, it might be a valuable HBR that somehow went unnoticed. (It's also be the kind of hotfix that MS might not have advertised because it pushes 2K too close to their next product XP ...)

Girl with a Cangle is singing "bel canto" (which Leonardo studied and taught) in bel canto, you learn to sing happily at full volume ... the candle is used as a primitive biofeedback device ... when your singing is correct then even at full volume you will not cause even the slightest flicker of the cangle flame ... the singer controls the sound in a feedback loop between the vocal chords and the sinuses and the sound "lasers" out from there ... carrying mental/emotional thoughts with it from the limbic parts of the brain ... thus proving Helmholtz theory of sound by bumbing molecules a fraud ... with belcanto, sound is more like a transfer of electrical energy (or direct mental energy!) than of thermal (bumping molecules) energy ... Girl with a Pearl Earing also looks like she is just starting to sing a note as well ... and then she looks back at her boyfriend in the choir to see if he notices her ... (haha ... childhood memories!)

I don't think I said anything about it being superseded by my update pack

I said that it was obsolete because there were newer versions of all of the files available in other places. In this particular case the "other places" mean other M$ official updates.

Thank you for the updated release. M$ has officially released the latest IE Cumulative Update for Win2k. How about adding it to the Update Pack?

W2k updatepack has not been dropped at all: onepiece will take a look at your suggestions an maybe will refresh the pack again before the end of this year

When did the problem start? Did you recently add or remove any hardware or software?
The details provided suggest memory corruption may occurring. This can be attributable to hardware failure (faulty RAM, for example), or a bad/buggy driver, or a driver that is not meant for the version of Windows you are using. The dumps will offer further guidance.
General guidance for dealing with bluescreens:
Consider running chkdsk on all partitions. Let chkdsk complete on each partition and see if that helps.
Also consider running SFC /SCANNOW.
It can be helpful to use Driver Verifier. To enable Driver Verifier... start->verifier.exe->OK->Create standard settings->Next->select driver names from a list->Next->sort by Provider->select all non-Microsoft drivers->Finish, and OK your way out of the dialog.
Then, reboot and use the system as you normally would, and wait for a problem. In the event that the system does not boot completely after enabling driver verifier, boot into Safe Mode and run driver verifier, and tell it to delete the changes.
Wait for a bugcheck to occur after enabling verifier as described, and then upload the dump to your SkyDrive, and provide a link.
If you boot into safe mode, do you still experience bugchecks? What about if you do a clean boot, or device clean boot?
Consider testing memory with Windows Memory Diagnostic or memtest86. Note that memory that passes tests is not necessarily good memory - it just hasn't failed a test. Consider systematically eliminating RAM from the system - run with a couple of modules for a while, and see how things go. Then try the other modules.
Other common suggestions include ensuring drivers are up to date, as well as ensuring that you're using the latest BIOS.
