Post by nonno fabio » Tue Nov 25, 2008 8:20 am

OnePiece's Enable LBA 48 bit for Windows 2000 Professional Addon

OnePiece_Win2K_LBA48bit_AddOn.7z
It will be integrated in a future pack. In the meantime use this: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=75713 (thanks to Kelsenellenelvian for the suggestion).

This Addon adds EnableBigLba registry entry to enable support for >128GB hard disk access on atapi controllers by default.

If there will be no issues, it will be integrated inside W2k Update Pack

changelog:
2008-11-24: first release

Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

OK, Anyone tested this?
Since I remember, editing LAYOUT.INF file may cause some problems because that file is signed by Microsoft.

Since Onepiece is not able to test w2k on a real machine, he mades public this addon if someone wat to test it in his place. He knows that layout.inf is edited but if the integration will works, the addon will be removed and its content will be added in w2k Update Pack.

For real installations you can use in the meantime setupeg.hiv from Kels (thanks to him for the suggestion)

@yumeyao: :? thanks
