Internet Explorer 9 Beta Setup Direct Download Links
---------------------------------------------------------------
The IE9 Beta installer is now officially available for public download and can be grabbed from the direct download links
provided below, the web-installer stub is just 2.37 MB in size which downloads the remaining setup files (roughly 24 mb on Windows 7 32bit)
and surprisingly requires a system reboot to install (the only web-browser to do that).

Thanks, although I'll never touch IE with a 10 foot pole :)

For those that want Menu Bars back - a problem I had and was given an answer - here for everyone else:

Right-click in the open space next to tabs to make the favorites bar, command bar, and status bar visable as in IE8. There is a bug in the beta that doesn't allow the menu bar to show permanetly even though it is selected as such under view=toolbars. To make it show do this always:

1. Type regedit in RUN or Start menu search box and press Enter. It'll open Registry Editor.
2. Now go to following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft
3. Create a new key "Internet Explorer" under "Microsoft" key.
4. Create another new key "Main" under "Internet Explorer" key.
So the final path would be:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
5. Now in right-side pane, create a new DWORD value AlwaysShowMenus and set its value to 1
6. That's it. Now open IE 9 Beta and press "ALT" key and it'll enable Menu Bar permanently.

Hope this helps someone besides me. :D

Is there a reason to necro an 8-year-old thread about a BETA version of an OUTDATED software?
