Post by eggster2002 » Fri May 05, 2006 4:56 pm

Development on NLPC has cessed. I am now working on a better application for creating plugins.

Thank you all for you support with NLPC
Alex. :)

How is every one finding NLPC ?
Do you think it is easy to use ?
Or how would you like the NLPC UI to look ?

Please feel free to post questions about NLPC in this forum.

Thank you
Mr Egg

There is already an nlite plugin creator so i do not know why you are wasting your time :) It can be found here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=73008 . This one comes with many more options too :) No offence, nice try, but this one is not a beta anymore and has no bugs. It is fully pollished :)

I’m sorry you don’t like this application. But if you are going to make a point please make it a constructive one. In respects to options I am aware the application you are talking about has no options at all. The only options I can find are to set the compression level and to select prebuilt switches. NLPC can do all this to so options wise you are fighting a loosing battle. As for NLPC being a BETA this does not mean its full of bugs and to my knowledge if you had stopped to read the forum of the other application you will notice that it has and still is getting is fair share of bugs.

Regards
Mr Egg

N-Lite Plugin Creator v1.1.0 RC1 much respect for this plug-in creator.
very easy to use.
works smoothly.
super fast.
the UI is fine.
functionality is more important.
about the only thing to make it stand out from the rest would be a new swith finder.
i mean an intergrated finder like the universal.
that though is easily done other ways.
NLite Add-On Maker is not as good as your program eggster2002.
thx for all your work!!

no disrespect to the creator of NLite Add-On Maker,
not a bad program by any means. :D

Hi, sorry for the newb questions - i'm new to this whole addon stuff.

For switchless installers, what setup type should i choose? (if it makes a difference, since it's not supposed to have any switches)

one possibly confusing point on the interface is the double-click to add and remove files... an option would be 2 small arrow buttons (up, down) between the listboxes

Anyway, looks good and simple, and ennough features for "power" users (unlike me :P)

Good work!

Firstly to create an unattended self installing application I would recommend you use the 7Zip method in NLPC v1.1.0 RC1. After NLPC has created the .CAB file extract it and you will find the unattended self installing application in the SVCPACK directory.

Secondly. Thank you for the point on the double click. I will add Up, Down
Arrows if this makes using NLPC better.

Many Thanks for your support

Alex.
