How to Extract | and see the contents of a MSI

Post by Araknis » Wed Jul 13, 2005 6:22 pm

I am sure all of you know that you can do a administrative install to extract files from a MSI.

Others, of you may also know about Orca that lets you edit the MSI tables.
However, I don't think Orca can extract files.

However, I just found a program that lets you extract files and view msi tables.

The Program is called Less MSIérables.
Let me warn you the first time you run it, it will add an "Extract" item to the right-click menu in explorer when right-clicking on .msi files (the added registry entry is made at \\\Registry\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Msi.Package\shell\Extract\command\).
