Ryanvm Integrator Running On Linux?

Post by The Creator » Tue Nov 07, 2006 5:46 am

As i just started up my favorite linux distro (mepis 6.0) wondered if i could get the integrator to run in it so i could make my cds under linux. And after sipping some wine my dream ceased to be a dream, but a reality.

THE RYANVM INTEGRATOR RUNS IN LINUX!

I can now make my xp cds under linux :)

Simply amazing, I tried the same thing on roughly the same date. I too was going to help put together a guide.

Let's join forces and conquer....

Here's what I got so far,

Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft)
- Latest wine ()
- cabextract (might not be needed, IE4Linux)

Quick rundown:
- RyanVm attempts to use xcopy, cannot be found
- place in it's own "rvmxcopy", missing two dll's ifsutil and ulib
- this fails and the begins to extract theRVM update pack
