Vista humor

Post by RogueSpear » Thu May 10, 2007 9:25 am

I was reading an article about Vista's UAC and noticed that the little graphic in the UAC dialog box has a man jumping over a shark

Definition of "Jump the Shark"

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... +the+shark

My personal addition to the usage: "Microsoft really jumped the shark with Vista"

I almost have to think the guy who wrote the article (or the editors) put it in there. I haven't touched Vista since the beta days so I don't really remember seeing it.

Actually, it's re-touched... but not much!! :D

Everything in the pic is the same as the actual screen, save for the shark sign and red letters.

Unfortunately, I've had 2 customers so far who insisted on installing Vista. First thing I learned to do was turn off UAC.

I think you might also be interested to know that one of them had his pc tell him that his Vista was not genuine.... It came in that funky curved plastic box, with a manual, orange serial key sticker, and holograms ALL OVER THE PLACE. If it was fake, it was a DAMN good one!

I had to download a crack so that he could use the OS he legally paid for!!

Thx, Rogue!!
