Thanks to corona2k, this board has gotten a much-needed overhaul. Please post all comments here, as I'm sure it still needs some tweaking.

I'll get the ball rolling - needs a quick-reply field.

Just had a look at the addon discussion forum and also the switchless discussion forum and it is not obbious how to get to the addons and the switchless installers. With the old layout it was at the top of each one and obvious.
I'm colourblilnd and found the black, green and white text much easier to read and follow than the new theme.
But the reply box is still in the old colours so not all is gone.

Cancel that - now I have logged in everything is back as it should be. Previously it made no difference to the appearance of the board whether I logged in or not.
Logged in and the sub-forums are perfectly easy to find.

well there is a bit of problems with some areas which need contrasted colors
like the main rvm.net discussion, btw the regular theme is special even tho dark and green ;)
besides it good to have a few alternative themes doesn't need to be default

*blinks* I'm confused....where is this supposed to be at? I don't see anything differently than I did before (except that the Wings logo now has the RyanVM Discussion Board logo, which looks much better IMO).

Oooohh! Got it.
Zacam, go to the 'profile' link, go to the bottom to 'board style', select 'RyanVM'.

Purty! :)

Yipes, I completely missed that the subforums had disappeared. Making subSilverDark the default again until that gets sorted out.

So from the main page, how do I go to sections like "Update Pack Addons" or "Switchless Installer Releases"? I no longer see links for several sections.

EDIT: nvm, Ryan already noticed.

Ahh. Okay. Hrm. I think I preffer the original one, but I tend to preffer dark backgrounds.

However, I can say that the new one is laid out very well, contrasts decently and is easily readable.

It's obvious that effort is going into providing a polish to the apperance and functionality that's enjoyable even though it doesn't fit my own personal preference.

Well done.

I don't like the "new post indicator" (immediately to the left of the 'posted: day date time')
The grey on grey just doesn't contrast enough for me to notice.
Going back to the green/black :(

OK let's start with the most important problem. The subforums.

Do you guys have "Simple Subforums MOD" installed? Cuz if you do then i just need to edit a couple of thing s in the theme to make the subforums show.

I like it. I admit it will take some getting used to. We have had a dark theme for a long time. But as long as ryan keeps both themes available then users can select whatever works best on their eyes. ;)

Well i can make the same new theme dark if you guys want. As another choice in themes.
But first i wanna make sure everything is working OK with the current one.
I just need to know what MOD is installed here to make the subforums.

I think the new theme is sweet. I've always liked the original one, but this is certainly easy on the eyes.

Ryan! Great theme! I like a lighter theme and find it much easier to read stuff. If you need any help i have a bit of experience with modifying themes for phpbb. Though you probably have it covered because you know html too :)
