I tried to cruise over there and got something called "joomla", then just cPanel.

Anyone know anything?

Unbelievable, I see that we have few visits only, so this is some weird problem as I, Kels, Wolf and some other friends I asked can access wincert.net without any problems

I just got a reply from our hosting support:

This morning your server crashed due to a hardware issue, the hardware was replaced/apache reinstalled and your site restored. I believe this is the cause.

He also advises to users being prompted to download a file to clear their cache. Either that or delete your browser cache..

That crash must have been the culprit. I can get there with IE and Firefox now. <Yeah!>

I hope WinCert loses its IPB license for illegally distributing index.php.

I'm kidding. I'm just being a crass jerk.

How was it hacked? I run a personal webserver myself and would like to prevent such problems from happening to my web server.

Looks like they are working on it....

Quote from the page as of now:
Dear visitors of WinCert.net

In the past 48 hours, a Swiftnic clients database security breach happened. Since we're located on Swiftnic server we're working on this issue together.
Please be patient until this issue are resolved.

We'll be back as soon as possible.

WinCert.net Administration Team.

it's back up ...
in the last two days Wincert.net was offline due to a security breach on our hosting server. During that time our site was offline while our host was investigating this issue.
Unfortunately, we have a backup that is one week old, so all new member accounts and posts that were created during the past week were lost.

Hopefully, we'll get on track very quick and will forget this incident. I'm also inviting members which have lost their accounts to register again.

Please accept our sincere apologies for this unpleasant event.

If you experience any issues please let us know.

Kind regards,

WinCert.net Administration Team
btw, thank you rick for replying to my pm.

Cheers and Regards.

N1K:
don't know
www.swiftnic.com
this time
the host itself is destroyed
but don't worry, I'm already located on better secured server
I'm tired as shit
if you can't access wincert now
you will in a short while
R i c a r d o :
you switched?
N1K:
yes
It appears to have happened again and looks like N1K has decided to go with another hosting company

This cannot be good. N1K had just moved to a new host.

I had a slight run-in with him a few days ago, but we sorted it out, and he told me how much all these problems were effecting him. I hope he's ok, he seems like a nice guy, and does not need this.
