Looks like some idiot thought it'd be a good idea to mix-and-match DLLs from different versions of Windows.

Well, "illegal" in a technical sense is quite different than "illegal" in a legal sense. Many Windows system DLLs are built without relocation tables, which means that if anything conflicts address mappings, they will not work (reloc tables will allow the kernel to remap the DLL on-the-fly in the event of a conflict, but there's a performance hit; these system DLLs are manually mapped in an address range that is de facto "reserved" for use by Microsoft for these system DLLs). If two system DLLs are conflicting, which is what we see in this screenshot, then it means that someone has either modified one of those libraries in a very dumb way (for example, reshacking in new or larger resources could increase the virtual size and cause potential overlaps in the mapping) or has mixed DLLs from one version of Windows with another (since Microsoft only guarantees non-conflict with DLLs from the same Windows version). That this is warez is an amusing side issue, but this sort of stuff could happen to any clueless idiot who mucks around, regardless of legality.

Yes code you got it, he patched shell32.dll with huge AVI's and ICO's and it increased the size of shell32.dll...I dont remember the max size off the top of my head but he has to shrink the size of the AVI's and edit & remove the 256x256 icon sizes

I got this when I was doing V'ISO
