Hi 5eraph, see the "Grant Admin Full Control" for real I even really understand what's going on :D, but from my tests which is 3-4 times faster than the subinacl.exe & SetAcl.exe, of course we tried the shortest route to do the thing during the use of the Windows API in AutoIt, but anyway this difference is very much hmmmmmmmm (I did just so, how to say for my own pleasure, because I want to familiarize myself with the DllCall in autoit, to learn\use after Windows API ect ect, so really did not expect these differences)

in a simple test fate by me mounting the Windows 8 x64 "D:\MountDir_TMP" specified folder "D:\MountDir_TMP\Windows", which is about 80 000 files\diretory, both subinacl.exe both SetAcl.exe them served about 15-16 minutes to get the permissions of all files\diretory, instead DXTool serve them about 4 minutes

Code: Select all

CD /D "%~dp0"
ECHO. | TIME | FIND /i "current">> test.txt
subinacl.exe /subdirectories D:\MountDir_TMP\Windows\* /setowner=administrator /grant=administrators=f
ECHO. | TIME | FIND /i "current">> test.txt

Code: Select all

CD /D "%~dp0"
ECHO. | TIME | FIND /i "current">> D:\test.txt
SetACL.exe -on "D:\MountDir_TMP\Windows" -ot file -rec cont_obj -actn setowner -ownr "n:Administrators" -actn ace -ace "n:Administrators;p:full"
ECHO. | TIME | FIND /i "current">> D:\test.txt

but the exe is 5 MB ehh, I'm not finding a mod compress the AVI (of Windows 7), but AVI is really nice, for this or decided so, best 5 Mb with the AVI, that 500 Kb without the AVI

Ciao.

about Menu Shortcuts we made it impossibile for them to make the tool more professional, the dxtool use the WM_COPYDATA, look at the /W=600 (Wait 600 milliseconds) this useful when you select many files, it would be preferable to use the /W=2000 to be more secure, how do you know this is not needed when using the Send To shortcuts

Ciao.

Running /Remove does not remove any of the sendto entries added after running DXTool the first time nor does it remove DxTool.exe from the windows directory.

oops... that section wasn't updated since long time while link names have been changed.
Anyway DXTool.exe should disappear at next Windows restart.

New release v1.2.0.2 should work.

After MSItoinf, extract with 7-zip the setup.msi, and take the files, example extract SkypeSetup.msi, and take from them the Product.cab, and add in SkypeSetup.inf

Code: Select all

[SourceDisksNames]
	1="Skype Setup Files","Product.cab",,"i386"
or extract 7z1514-x64.msi and add in 7z1514-x64.inf

Code: Select all

[SourceDisksNames]
	1="7-Zip Files","WIN51",,"i386"
so you've almost done the true addon

Almost nobody uses it now, but ehhh, Here is Reg2Inf written in C++, Obviously it is very much much faster than the one written in Autoit, Let's say converts a file.reg (1GB) in about 3.5 seconds ehhhhh, From the tests made with a file.reg 300 MB (the HKLM in Windows 10 x64) I would say almost 90 times faster than that written in Autoit, However those who like to play here are the link
