[Tool] Source Integrity Test (winxp)

Post by ENU_user » Fri May 24, 2013 1:44 am

Source Integrity Test (S.I.T)

is a tool aimed to help find problems on the integration source.
it can help both novice and advanced addon makers find and get a quick clue about any typo's not revealed easily.

what does it do ?
it reads the areas in TXTSETUP\DOSNET,svcpack,sysoc and validates them against the source files
it generates a report.ini offering the clues and fixes in sections

try it out: and use it only after integrating an update pack !!! (otherwise the results will be ridiculous)

download Source_Integrity_Test_1.5.4.rar (MD5: e7be16963b287706a561cbfa3de55c39)

extract SIT.exe to rvm\plugins directory

create a new text document named e.g. "entries_Integrity@Test.ini"
** paste the folowing in to it:

Code: Select all

[general]
description  = IntegrityTest@Report

[runfile]
@plugins\SIT.exe:"@Destination" "@WIN" "@Plugins",HIDE
integrate it by its self.

it will take a half minute or less to run.. It won't pop a report if it finds nothing to complain about..

to those that may find this tool useful
enjoy.

Time for a "gotcha" - third sentence: ...typo's not revieled easily. Should be ...typo's not revealed easily.

Also, fourth from last: should read "integrate it along with your addons or by its self.

and, second from last: should read "to those that may find this useful"

Sounds cool!
I'd like to try this, but Symantec is flagging it and quarantining it.

it is upx'd and obfuscated
but doesnt look too bad on virus total

here, on runs with MSecurity SEssentials in the background everything goes smoothly and fast.
