"This one is uninstallable."

Kelsenellenelvian, it is upgradable though? (Of course?). Thanks!

sorry for that misunderstanding.

nice going Kel.

I avoided several of these addons for that simple reason.

Glad I read all the posts.

My first thought was that you meant you can NOT uninstall it.

Perhaps you should re-word it or just not say anything. ;)

How about adding these reg entries? they disable the adds

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\MainFrame]
"ShowEditorAd_908"="0"
"ShowReaderAd_908"="0"
"ShowTypewriterAd_908"="0"
"ShowPOAd_908"="0"
"ShowSDKAd_908"="0"

you can do it through the program but it takes time as each time it opens it displays a random ad from the list.

Wooohooo! I had heard there were some reg entries for making those fugly ads disappear - but looking for them so long I was starting to fear it was just an urban legend.

So muchos thanks for these O Zesty One.... ermmmm.... and I might have to hug you now..... :D

Foxit has been updated to .1621 just in case you didn't know or forgot. :D
This build fixes some printing bugs.
It also improves the displaying quality.
Quoted from their forum.

And this is really a very important update. In the previous version Foxit use a lot of RAM with some PDFs with pictures. When say a lot, this is not 256 kB or so, but rather about 1 GB or more.

The file for viewing asian languages has also been updated... though was that included in this release in the first place?

I had to uninstall this because the Javascript download for the beta (using the program's steps) screwed up. Caused a MS error report.

It has disappeared from winxp's "start button/all programs" but NOT from "add/remove programs". It still shows up BUT no file size is indicated.

Just figured I'd let you know.

Now I have to manually get rid of the add/remove entry. Normally xp will ask if I want to remove the entry but it's not asking that.
For those wanting to know how to manually remove an entry see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314481.

Hey thanks you found a actual bug! I had type "Foxit Software" instead of "Foxit Reader"...

Anyways save this as a .reg file and run it:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Foxit Reader]

props for the update but
i think he should also realize he should update version or build... so at least people can keep track, or even himself.... he just made a new build over the previous build under the same filename.

thanks for the update tho..

Oh man, I think there's already a topic about FoxIt in other forums made by Xable. However, he/she hasn't updated to v2.0 yet.

I really want to have v2.0. Hope foxit will approve you request soon, Kel!
