Well, some of you might have heard about Vista Transformation Pack.

This ones will give you the following Vista stuffs:
-About Windows
-Battery meter tray icon
-Boot Screen
-Classic Start Menu
-File processing dialogs
-File transfer video clips
-Icons Set
-Login
-Progress Dialog (shutdown/changing theme/log off)
-Screensavers
-Start Button flag
-ToolBar Button
-Toolbar Windows flag
-Visual styles

I'm not sure if everything will be integrated correctly since this is my first pack but I'm sure it won't cause trouble to your PC ;)

Wow, Windows X is finally here. Thanks for a wonderful Christmas Present.

A question though, does this adds the Vista Pack or does it replaces Luna?

Also, another question. I have installed Brico's Vista Inspirat Pack, and it seems there are common items that are in your pack also. Is there a possibility that it would create a conflict or some kind of a problem?

As always thanks for the help.

Welcome to the forum Windows X, I hope to get the other theme back up soon, I had some delays due to system problems but I think I'm back up now and can redo it finally, I had lost all my previous work and had to start again from scratch. Hope to see more of your excellent work up as well.

@dazkrlauwste, use sfc patch provided by ryan.

@Windows X, in order to avoid those type of errors (which are no problem for those using sfc patch) but cause trouble for those who do not, simply modifype your files and your set. :D,
also welcome, and your theme looks awesome. ill give it a try as soon as i get home.

I got the same error when I tried to use this theme.

To fix it I replaced the uxtheme.dl_ file with the uxtheme.dl_ file in RvmAddons_uxtheme.cab.

So far installation has given me no errors. and my installation is almost complete.

some people just misunderstand me by nature, if u read well u would have noticed i said sfc as in your syst file protection dll not uxtheme.dll, it stands to reason if your using a theme file that its obvious you will have already replaced your uxtheme.dll, also like i said, as a way around that maybe in windows x next release he could modiFYPE all his files.

why I cannot add this pack into RVM_integrator 1.0.5 (Addon.cab files optional)? and it doesnt show this pack so I cannot select it, then I cannot add it to rvm integrator.

and what happen if I add inspirant pack too (I love this pack..its awsome)..... ? is it ok?

can I integrated with nlite after I integrated with rvm integrator?? of course with another packs that I dont integrate them with rvm integrator?

Because RVM Integrator just looks for file w/ "addon" in it (*addon*.cab), you should rename it to make it appear.

I'll try this new pack later tonight again, but I had manually fixed the uxtheme file and the install went without errors.

However, the theme was not actually installed in full, just certain icons, the boot screen, the shut down window etc. the rest of the theme as shown in post #1 is missing and I can't select it anywhere from the theme drop down box or manually.

Like I said, if this was my user error, then this should work with the fixed file I'll download later, otherwise could this be checked if it installs fully or not?

Thanks, Cheers!

Confirmed. It'll cause you trouble if you integrate this and Update Pack 2.01 together. I'd recommend you to use RVM Integrator by renaming file contain addon word to integrate after nLite or integrate this in the second nLite launch.

@Windows X
Please take a look at one of my new Theme Addons. IE7 Theme, MindWood Theme and Cyber Theme.

They use a different method of integrating the files and do not use the txtsetup_dirs way.

The main files to study are the inf file and the Entrie*.ini file.

When I get time I may try to start a basic .inf file tutorial here so others may learn how to use this method. It is actually kind of simple once you know what you are looking at but it can be scarey the first time you look at the inf file.

Thanks for your theme! It is very cool looking! I will help you out as much as I can (if my time permits).

I'll take a look at it again here in a few and see what I can come up with for you and post again when I have it done...

Is there any way I can get all the files from you that's not prepackaged in your lite pack? I need the original files to redo it all with... The lite pack doesn't allow for extraction of the files for some reason...

A lot of what your problem is is that you have only a few of the ShellStyle.dll files you should have one for each shell folder that your using. One for Shell\NormalColor, One for Shell\VistaB, One for Shell\VistaBT etc... There was also a few conflicts with where you were using like 300 = %SystemRoot%\Web\Wallpaper when there is already one defined in the txtsetup.inf thread using line 500 for it I believe. I've completely taken care of that problem...

I've pretty much repackaged everything for you but you'll need to go and do what I said about all the shellstyle.dll files for it once I have it up where you can grab it... will take me a few more minutes to finish and upload it somewhere... HOPE it helps you....

The file is listed at RapidShare the hash is: EF32DF95BBAD58A35830F80EEB5A0AED I think... make sure you grab the correct file "VistaXPTheme_AddOn_WindowsX.cab"!

Once you open that file up, you'll see a cab file inside it, there is a 7z.exe file inside that cabinet, you'll need to replace the files inside of the .exe but not rezip them back up! Just UPX, ModifyPE, and MakeCab them and stuff them inside that "files" folder following the naming conventions mentioned in the WindowsX.inf file then recab that file again and compress the WindowsX.inf file and recab it all together, shouldn't be all that hard to do from there... HTH...

@DisabledTrucker, haha great minds think alike... btw there`s still some old errors in there and you`ve created a few. :P

@Windows X, while debugging this i re-built it lol. Your missing a few shellstyle.dll`s like DT says and a few other minor errors but on the whole a good first effort ;)

I`ve uploaded it seen as it`s done, it will now install from an inf run from svcpack, which remove`s the need to define txtsetup directory id`s.

vtp3_xp_x86_addon.cab MD5 = 8580BE1D0B7A0DEFBDC134E99C973921

Hope this helps you out, and you can learn somthing from it.

@Xable would you mind taking a look at my pack then and see if it's correct or not? I had used one of your latest themes for my template for them both. What errors had I created? The pack I had put up for him wasn't meant for an installation as of yet because it wasn't ready due to the fact that the shellstyle files were missing. But the actual workflow should have been correct, from what I could tell, (though I may be wrong as usual). The only thing I could see that could have been causing a problem and I mentioned it to WindowsX in MSN was that it had a file, ntkrnlpa.exe in there which I noticed there wasn't one of in my XPSP2 slipstreamed with RyanVM's pack, if that file needed to be defined or deleted? The rest of the files come straight out of his download so if there was any problems with those files to begin with then it's in the download. As far as the files from the Vista Transformation Pack goes I didn't use them because that would require an installation to obtain those files and that's not what I wanted to do to get to them as some of the themes I have are different than what is in that pack and when I install the themes to get one or two I want out of the plethoria of them, it ends up overwriting those themes and that's not good. Especially if its one your using such as in my case. I also don't like how it forcably changes the look and feel of windows when you don't want it too. That's why I was soo happy when he come out with this pack. Although one of the things I did do with his pack was remove the uxtheme file from it as I read above there was a problem with the one included.

EDIT: I also want to let you know that you've placed one of the screen saver files outside of the secondary cabinet and left it compressed. That needs to be removed from the pack as it stands or it will cause problems.

I'm uploading a fixed version to that folder now, it still doesn't contain the needed Shellstyle.dll's with it for installation, so don't attempt it! The rest of it should work correctly now and still give hints as to what everything is for future use. Read the internal readme for more information.

@dgelwin Hope you've enjoyed your "Vacation"!
