[REQUEST] IE7 Beta 2 Preview Addon

Post by dazkrlauwste » Wed Feb 01, 2006 8:35 am

Hello everyone,

Can someone please make an addon for IE7 Beta 2 Preview build 5296?

Get it here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=58957

It seems there are some problems integrating it with nLite 1.0 RC6.

Thnx.

I may take a crack at this over the weekend after I get the WMP10 addon updated.

If someone wants to attempt it first, make sure to make use of the [Obsolete] section in entries.ini to remove unnecessary IE6 CAT files.

Don't you have be a "certified" tester before you can use it?

I'd like to ditto this request. I don't know if you need to be a tester, but the link is directly to Microsoft and I was able to install it on my system without cracking it (had to validate XP w/ WGA on install, though). I'm not sure if it's an XP Home or nLite issue with the hotfix integration (already reported my problem on the nLite forum). So thanks in advance to anyone who does this. :)

Why dont you simply integrate it using nLite?

Nlite RC6 supports direct integration of IE7 if it is added as an hotfix!!!

nLite isn't able to integrate IE7B2P or the IE7B2 leak into XP Home. The only way possible, ATM, to integrate either B2s would be through an addon pack. I've already posted my issue to the nLite forum and I believe nuhi said (s)he fixed the problem, but we'll have to wait for a new version before nLite can directly integrate it.

Did anyone ever get around to working on this? Would love to have this as an addon. I hav been using beta 2, ever since it has been out and now I just can't do without it. Like they say, 'there's no going back to IE6 once you have experienced IE7'. It's those 'Tabs' I tell you. :)

I started working on this the other day, but I've had very little free time lately, and it would be my first (you can read that as "it'll be a while"). 4 month old girls just don't care if you want to be at your PC when they want a bottle or playtime. Like now...
