[Release] Paul Neave's Flash Games Addon v1.1-070905

Post by Mrs Peel » Fri Feb 03, 2006 1:34 am

I'm doing an nLite build for a friends grandaughter's PC and the little hunny managed to sweet talk me into getting her together a rather LARGE collection of standalone Flash Games. This is the first of the three packs I will be building for her, so I thought some of y'all might like to enjoy them too.... we are all just kids at heart after all

LOL you addict you!

These are all the games packs I have released to date:

Absolutist Flash Games Addon Pack 1.0: MrsP_Absolutist_Flash_Games_Addon_v1.0
Deadly Rooms Of Death Addon Pack: Deadly Rooms Of Death Addon Pack 1.6.7
FreeWare Games Addon Pack 1.0: MrsP_FreeWare_Games_Addon_v1.0
Neave Flash Games Addon Pack 1.0: MrsP_Neave_Flash_Games_Addon_v1.0

I doubt there will be any more to come tho as it's so damn hard to find good quality no-nags no-strings freeware games and 95% of all the freeware games you do find online are riddled with adware and only provided by commercial websites such as Yahoo for the purpose of marketing themselves. They come with installers that usually fill your registry with junk, often overwriting system files without checking version numbers and most likely silently install a bunch of other stuff that links back to their website, changes your startpage or installs spyware.

I have only made addon packs of games that are standalone portable or have been extracted from their installers and tested to make sure they don't try to phone home or add unwanted shortcuts and reg entries. After my many years of freeware games collecting, this is all I have and as you can see a rather short list considering how many zillions of free games are promoted on the web. :(

Neave is my personal favourite tho, but he doesn't release new ones very often so there may only be one future update to that pack. Absolutist has gone payware now so there'll be no more updates to that one. DROD was a once only release and the FreeWare pack I haven't found any new ones to add to for over a year but certainly would update it in future if I did.

In regards to your "one big game pack" suggestion, I had pondered about that myself but decided it was best to leave them as individual packs sorted by author. I personally don't use Uber-Packs as I prefer to select only what I want, so I ended up deciding to keep these packs seperate to give peeps like me that same choice.

Hope that answers your queries and thanks for the positive feedback smashly, it's nice to know my efforts are enjoyed by others :)

If you have already downloaded my previous version of this addon then you should dump it an use this new version 1.0.1 instead. Better to be safe than sorry (see Pauls post about this issue here)

I just wanted to ask............ where did these EXE versions come from? They don't appear to be available from the official Neave site. :?

Hi marzsyndrome, I've been collecting Neave games for several years now but it seems they no longer share the standalone executables on their website, which is a bit sad. So I guess this means there'll be no more new Neave games to be added to this collection :(

Updated with an uninstaller.....

WOW! I can't believe how many people here have boasted about how much they love my game packs, so if you people enjoy my work so much why can't you even bring yourself to volunteer a few words of feedback in my release threads?

This one has now been added to my "Cull Alert" list to give you lazy leechers one last opportunity to say you have been using it.

SEVEN days left if you want to save this from being nuked.... tick-tock.... tick-tock....

Always use this cos it takes me back to the early days when Space Invaders was "state of the art". Pity my playing skills didn't meet the same standard!
Nice to have the update Mrs. P - thanks for your efforts.

All 3 games packs you have released are my all time favorite. I install these on about 30-40 computers per month.

Although I dont use them as addons, because of my cd #1 lack of space, I just file copy them over from cd # 2. Still being a silent installation.

My customers love them.

Hey MrsP,
I just started using your game packs and I thought I'd pop in and say Thanks! My customers really enjoy the game packs I've started putting on their computers. :) I'm wondering if you have any plans on creating some more game packs?
