[Release] Jorgen Bosman's PowerOff Addon v3.0.2.0b-070826

Post by Mrs Peel » Tue Mar 07, 2006 8:52 pm

Another windows shutdown utility as recommended by LonGleY & rds_correia here and I have to agree, this is a much sexier utlity than YaSoft's SwitchOff. I am using PowerOff instead now, so thanks for the recommendation chaps ;)

PowerOff v3.0.2.0b

MD5: 569804AE4F128FA75C781293EBA339BC
SIZE: 221 KB
Description: Scheduler for Windows power operations tasks
Op System: Windows 2000, XP & 2003 (x86 only)
Builddate: 2005/11/22
Language: English
Title: PowerOff
Version: 3.0.2.0b
License: Open Source
Website: http://users.pandora.be/jbosman/applications.html
Installs to: "%programfiles%\System\PowerOff"
Uninstaller: Removes program files, shortcuts and reg entries
Poweroff: A free shutdown utility
Poweroff is a small program for Win95/98/NT/W2K/XP to schedule a shutdown/reboot/logoff/poweroff/Standby/Hibernate/Lock/Wake-On-LAN at a certain time. I also support command line options that allows poweroff to be used in batch scripts.

It has a built-in scheduler, it allows you to run a program before doing the action, you can give a warning message to the user, wait for a process to finish before doing the action and full remote control is supported.

Enjoy (or not)

:D

[Edit 2007/08/26] Bumped to version v3.0.2.0 (beta), changed install directory and rebuilt with uninstaller

As a matter of fact I was just about to add this to my cull list, but since you expressed an interest I'll give it a reprieve and pop it onto my "list of things to do" tomorrow.

Cheers ;)

Is the PowerOff Addon Still Available?

Post by jartcan » Wed Dec 19, 2007 7:10 pm

I just found this forum and Ryan's Integrater. I am going to use it in my agency where we provide free Internet to international students. I had found the PowerOff utility before and was interested in using it to shut off the 30 student computers at night. Currently I use Slawdog but if I use software to update the time, Slawdog disables itself. I was hoping to create an installation CD with all the updates and utilities I need for the student computers as they need to be reformated fairly frequently. I tried using the link to get this addon but I get 404 error. Have you discontinued support for the addon or is it just a broken link? :(
I'm still going through all the other addons you've created as I want to make my own build for my home computer. You really have done everyone a great service with your efforts. Thanks
