[Updated] Parmavex WinAudit CPL Addon v2.27-071115

Post by Mrs Peel » Tue Mar 07, 2006 8:57 pm

I had been trying to make an addon for Belarc Advisor system auditing software but with no success, so I was thrilled to discover this wee treasure last week which does everything that Advisor does and much more.

Whether your interest is in software compliance, hardware inventory, technical support, security or just plain curiosity, WinAudit has it all. The programme has advanced features such as service tag detection, hard-drive failure diagnosis, network port to process mapping, network connection speed, system availability statistics as well as Windows® update and firewall settings.

After using both of these programs (WinAudit and BelarcAdvisor) i have to say that both of them work quite well, my only nitpick with WinAudit is that it does not show your key for installed software.. it shows the license but not the key like belarc does.. other than that it works nicely
thanks for making this addon Mrs' P much obliged, i would love it if ya didnt give up on belarc advisor though :)
can never have too many good addons. and yours are vera nice :)

Thanks for the headsup TechnoHunter. Updated now and Ryan should have it up on the server shortly ;)

I am not sure if I will have another go at an advisor addon tho, cos I was messing with that before we became aware of the licensing issues and I am kinda doubtful if Belarc would consider what we do here as coming under their non-commerical license requirements. I might have to email them about it and check.

Cheers m'dears

PS: Ay caramba I hope this is not going to be one of those appz that they update every other week

A few thousand downloads and yet no response to this release in 15 MONTHS - even after I made the effort to update it for you 6 weeks ago??????

Time to say bye-bye to WinAudit CPL v2.21 Addon

OK this one gets a reprieve and also an update with uninstaller, because as Technohunter has correctly pointed out to me by PM, he has been a faithful user of this since the beginning and has always made a point to acknowledge that he uses this.

With regards to me investigating an addon for Belarc Advisor, I am no longer considering this because it's beyond my current installer coding skills.

Cheers.

This land looks familiar. I do not recall it looking familiar the last time I was here.
