[Release] Brian's Window Sizer Addon v3.3-070807

Post by Mrs Peel » Fri Mar 31, 2006 9:40 am

I've been using this nifty wee app for years to keep my desktop windows organised. It's an indispensable tool for when I am recording screencaps and need to keep them all a uniform size and for resizing my browser when I need to test my web design projects for different screen resolutions.

Sizer v3.3
Sizer is a freeware utility that allows you to resize any window to an exact, predefined size. This is extremely useful when designing web pages, as it allows you to see how the page will look when viewed at a smaller size. The utility is also handy when compiling screen-shots for documentation, using Sizer allows you to easily maintain the same window size across screen grabs.

1) I only make these addons, it's not my job to teach peeps how to use them as well. Try checking the authors website as he documents this program's usage very thoroughly.

2) I suggest that you do what I did and install the program, start it up, configure the program to suit yourself, close the program again, then export your new reg entries under "[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sizer]" and overwrite the ones in my inf file.

3) I only pre-configured a VERY basic set of pre-defined window sizes for this cos I am on 1280x1024 monitor and so my personal settings for this would not be suitable for peeps with different monitor resolutions and also every user likes to arrange their desktop in their own different way so I can't please everybody.

Gluck ;)

Rebuilt with an uninstaller.

No responses to this very popular desktop utility for 14 months, which means it is now on my "Cull Alert List"

Better let me know that you use it.... or you LOSE it.... tick-tock.... tick-tock....

Post-Nuke appreciation

Post by SnogBird » Fri Nov 30, 2007 5:36 am

Thanks, Mrs. P!! I downloaded this one some time ago... never could remember my logon to say thanks, though. So thanks from a new logon!

Why not turn your add-ons over to Ryan's BitTorrent Tracker? That way those lurking leechers can show their appreciation by seeding. No appreciation = no seeds = no download! No need for you to maintain link pages and all that.

In the anonymity of the internet, thanks are often overlooked. I'm glad Ryan doesn't require a logon to read and download from the forum... I've long lost track of all the accounts I've had to create to answer a question. But never think your work is unappreciated!!

Ten-thousand thanks!

I still have MrsP_Window_Sizer_Addon_v3.3.cab sitting in my collection, but I figured I would post here to inform you that I do use it, and I do appreciate the work you put into building it. Gracias.
