Sorry if this has been asked or answered earlier but I did not feel like scrolling through and reading all the pages here. :(

When I looked at the info for the latest runtimes it listed Visual Basic 1-4 as included. I thought to myself that was not quite right and I checked my Visual Baisc Runtimes folder and found msvbvm50.exe which is: MS Visual Basic 5 runtimes 5.2.8244

Is this no longer required?

Can this pack be used in Windows 7 x64? Or it's supposed to work in XP only?

And what is worse, these addons are not entirely x86-64 compatible.

Great work, thanks Kel.

Not actually sure if I've ever needed this pack for anything, but it sure FEELS good to have it filling out the blanks in my XP installs. :)

In the first posting you mention that the runtime includes Microsoft C-family 1 and VC7-VC9 plus a handful of others.

Is the Visual J redistributable not considered a runtime? If it is should it be included here?

If this is answered elsewhere please disregard and tell me where.

Thanks :D

Visual J redistributable> (shudders)

Unless I am very wrong I see that it is an extension of .net.

Thats definatly NOT in this field...

Sorry.

Check your hash please.

No-one else has reported this issue yet and there has been over a thousand dl's of it.

15+ real installs done here too.

What OS lang are you using?

Are VB6 and VC6 part of the pack? Or should they be?
I see VC7 and VB1-4:

Microsoft VB runtimes VB1-VB4
Handful of various random Runtimes from the net and user requests.
Vista SP2 USP10.dll for greater unicode support.
There is one more thing, my updater shows a "KB973924 Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008" is it possible, to include that in the package?

dllsfull.exe can be decompressed with 7-Zip 9.07 beta. Here's a repack using the latest final, 7-Zip 4.65.

Just tried integrating v6 of this addon with RVMi v.1.6.1b2.1 in XPSP3.
(Had been using v5.8 previously.)

After integration, installing in VBox3012 gave me a blue screen with the following error:

STOP: c0000139 {Entry Point Not Found}
The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.

I assume it has to do with this addon?
Pardon me if I am wrong.

Edit: sorry, I just scrolled up the thread and saw that salad had previously reported this error with a earlier version, so it's probably not v6??
I checked the MD5 and its the same as posted above.

a simple question. Can i delete the language based mfcxxx70.dll, mfcxxx80.dll and mfcxxx90.dll files if i do not use OS in the language?
Most important question is why and everything begins of your choice
