REQ:- change extension addon cab?

looking for a small shell extension add-on cab so I can right click and change (type)extension..
Is there anything of the sort ?

Actually what I think he's requesting is this, and it's actually a cool idea though I've never seen it done:

Say you have a bunch of files with .JPG as the extension but you know they aren't actually JPG files (some idiot gives you lots of pics to put on a webpage and they are GIFs or something). Yes, you can go through and rename each using the magic F2 extension, or you could use a shell extension that would let you highlight them all, right-click, and choose GIF as the extension. And then you are done with possibly dozens of files at once. I don't know I'd have much use for it myself, if it were that bad I'd use the REN command from command prompt like this:

But then I like the command prompt, it treats me well ;)

I can easily make a simple tool that does this. Would take me about a minute to code. If there is a huge need for it I will make something.
