@DmX

I hadn't checked this post in a few months, mainly because it's still listed as v1.7
However, I checked the MD5, and you did something to it 'cause they don't match.

(Plus, I noticed that the first post was last edited Apr 08.)

So, what did you change?

[EDIT]
Looks like the one I just downloaded is CAB. The old one was 7z. Is that it? :rolleyes:

Yep RaGhul, i've re-compressed the addon for smaller size.

You're welcome Kelsenellenelvian :)

I'll try to integrate Rick's latest aero cursors, but that will take time.

Oooooooooooooh, more purty stuff? Cool!!

C'mon, take a break from all that IE7 mess and add the cursors! It might help clear you head a bit.

Woot :D

I updated the addon with only BlackSpins v3 cursors (for now).
This was the old changelog, in case sb needs
Changelog:
2007-02-17: Re-compressed the addon for smaller size. No version change.
2006-12-25: v1.7--> Added XzBOne and XzBOne Light Cursors, and fixed pop-up comfirmation explained here.
2006-11-15: v1.6--> Added AeroII Cursors.
2006-10-13: v1.5--> Added HighSpins V2 Vista Inspired Curors.
2006-10-06: v1.4--> Added MacOsX Cursors.
I tested the addon in vmware, on a running windows installation, everything was ok. Also fgcba reported the addon as ok, no errors.

i'm curious about something. when you say "They will be installed to their default folders, and also registry entries will be installed as default" does that mean upon installation of windows, they will be the default cursors set? thats great if it is... but if not, is there a way to set BlackSpins v3 cursors as such?

@ccl0

No, not default. It just means that you'll be able to switch the cursors by going to the Control Panel, selecting 'Mouse', then the 'Pointers' tab. Otherwise, you'd have to add the cursors manually.

If you want them as default, check this thread.

@DmX

Thx, dood!! (Help clear your head a little?) :P

@ ccl0: No. I just wanted to say i am using the folder names and registry settings coming from the original addons, that authors created. I am not modifying folder names or scheme names.

@ RaGhul: Yep but not too much :P

This is an A+ addon, and thanks for updating it!.

I do have a minor request for the next update. I usually remove a few packs that I know I won't ever use, or just don't like: Gant 1,2, XZ-B-ONE, XZ-B-ONE Light and the pink, purple, orange, red Highspins. All those bright colors :)

Your simple, logical naming method always makes this a simple edit, but in 1.8, I couldn't figure out the HighSpins files' naming. Unlike the other packs, they didn't match up with the INF sections. It kinda looked to me like some HS cursors in some of those colors were assigned to the BlackSpins and transparent themes. I didn't want to break BlackSpins, or any HighSpins I did keep, so, I just removed the reg entries for those schemes. obviously, that still installs the files, though.

Are those cursors used in multiple schemes?

Thanks again for releasing this. btw, my favorite scheme is AeroII with the pointer replaced with the Fedora hand modded to point with a different finger. I call it "AeroFU" It's pretty juvenile, but I SO like seeing peoples' faces when they use my box and finally notice it. :)

Thanks kelaniz.
All Blackspins cursors start with a "BS" in the name. You can check the BS.Cur section for the real names of them. In blackspins, some cur files are used multiple times in schemes. That makes it hard to remove one by one. I suggest you to remove the registry entries only (and thats what you're doin :))

OK, that's what I thought, so that's what I'll keep doin' :) Seriously, good job on that INF. I'm losing hair from debugging a MUCH simpler one. This one prolly would've killed me.

@DmX
I hate to quote McDonald's but... "I'm lovin' it!"

Is it just me, or are the BlackSpin cursors MUCH improved this time around? Looks like they have better alpha-blending, more vibrant colors... and the transparent ones make my XP look better than Vista!! :P

Nice work, buddy!

I have One More request
http://rapidshare.com/files/47107439/Bl ... ornado5.7z

This one is one of the most lightweight cursors i have ever seen which actually looks good and have a vista taste
Would you plz consider it adding it to your great pack?
and yeah this one also includes an install.inf file, so probably it wouldn't be a headache

Take your time, I dont mind waiting a few days

Thnx again :)

Thanks for this addon. Would it be possible to install it in a post install XP by editing Entries_CursAIO.ini or CursAIO.inf ?

Don't suppose you could make a self-extracting file for use on XP systems already installed?

Here you go. Maybe this is something that Ryan will allow to be put somewhere on his site like the first link on the OP used to be?

Cheers and Regards
