CMenu is a handy, context menu extension. Adds a branch to your context menu called More Options. It is so handy, that you will save alot of time for those tedious tasks, that CMenu can do so easy. Look below at all the features, for you to enjoy.

* Uses PEiD, which is able to recognize installer types, if available in it's the database. Identify Installer uses this information, and is able to popup a window to show parameters associated with that installer. Identify Installer can unpack, admin, record, silent installations, if available. And also create a template AutoIt Script, to suit.
* Includes CMenu Editor. This allows further customizing.
* Files can Execute With Parameters, optional working directory, and allowing for different window states.
* Create a Directory List. Preset options are available, as well as a custom options.
* Create an AutoIt Archive Script, that can be included into your main scripts. This allows AutoIt to act like an archiver.
* Includes PEiD as a separate item also, which allows the user to enhanced, portable executable identification.
* Filenames and paths can be easily sent to the windows clipboard, by using Path To ClipBoard.
* Allows for the user to download and add Resource Hacker or Stud PE. These will be detected, if placed in the correct folder, and will be added to the context menu.
* MyUninstaller is included in CMenu.
* Force Delete is included in CMenu. Use this only, as required. When deleting multiple files, do not do anything, until the operation is complete. A msgbox will popup and will allow, not to proceed. Use at own risk.
* AutoItMacroGenerator is included to handle recording of AutoIt install scripts.
* Reg2Au3 quickly converts Regedit4 type registry files to AutoIt3 syntax.
* Ini2Au3 quickly converts Ini files into AutoIt syntax.
* Constants Generator retrieves the constants declarations that your AutoIt script only needs.
* 7-Zip2Sfx for easily converting 7z archives to self extracting archives.
* RegKey2AU3 quickly converts a Registry Key into AutoIt3 syntax.

It seems to act unattended by default anyway! Windows come and go before I can answer them......

Yes! Its normal, all the features are installed, you dont have to answer anything, its the way the app installs itself.
(Its a "AutoIt3 Installer")

Its the same with the Non-Addon, download it and see http://uawiki.org/CMenu/

This is a wonderful Addon...

Post by rootfile » Fri Apr 20, 2007 2:53 pm

It just needs two improvements:

1) Needs to incorporate Bill James' .vbs sendto script which will allow you to send shortcuts to the "Desktop", "MyDocuments", "SendTo", "StartMenu", or "Startup" folder (I deleted MyDocuments from the script because you really don't want to send shortcuts there).

2) And the author of the program or addon pack should make a option to selectively chose the SentoA3X functions to populate the Sendto menu. Right now you have to install A3X, customize your sendto menu, make new shortcuts with icons so you can easily differentiate between sendto functions, then delete the scripts you don't use.

Sorry for the long message, but like I said, this is really close to the ideal Sendto solution. I just want to automate it without fiddling around with it so much after its installed.

@Rick:

Could you fix the link to the SendToA3X Addon? It's currently linked to the download.png image, not the addon file itself.

Thanks in advance

I would like to try the Cmenu addon, however when I try to go to the link that was posted, I get an error 404 (page cannot be found).

That and I think the original post to the Cmenu website has turned into an advertiser's site of some kind.

Edit: Looking for the actual program, I happened to find your postings at wincert, and I think the link is supposed to be -> http://www.sokoolz.com/addons/r64/Ricks ... _AddOn.rar
It appears to just be a typo.
The website for CMenu should be changed to -> http://mywebsite.bigpond.com/michaelpheath/cmenu/

Is this an expected detection:
CMenu_v2.6.zip
Archive type: ZIP
--> CMenu.exe
[DETECTION] Contains recognition pattern of the DR/Hooker.S.1 dropper
[NOTE] A backup was created as '49099665.qua' ( QUARANTINE )

Link to "SendToA3X v1.7" does not work :?
Is there a way to make CMenu functional on Windows 7 ?
I was able to install the inf thanks to "Windows XP File Associationshttp://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm" and it shows up in appwiz.cpl, but there is nothing in the context menus.

Are you using Win7x64, GrowBigTrees? The context menus are probably only accessible in a 32-bit shell.

Interesting trick this 32 bit shell !

Code: Select all

%windir%\SysWOW64\explorer.exe /separate, /root, c:
:D

But no "More Options" menu there either.

Tried adding PeiD as a new command to the nice shell extension freeware "FileMenu Tools". Worked, but is far of what we had with the old good CMenu ...

When I gave the link in my previous post I did not know that Microsoft broke this behavior in Windows 7 x64. They do not plan on fixing it, which royally sucks since it was previously supported. :(

That's probably the reason you're not seeing the context menus for CMenu in either case—32 or 64-bit. Unless there's a 64-bit version of CMenu, you're out of luck.
