tweaked addon before this version addons wasn't able to intregated on the source with ryan integrator.. thats what i mean to say,, a quick addons after that ... :P
but what actual is OOBE issue and theme issue...
i haven't faced any such issue till date.. i have been using every build of ur addons.
Possibility: i use my own patched uxtheme.dll , is this because of this i am not facing the issue.

i noticed u have included uxtheme.dll in ur addons.

If one were to use nLite to integrate IE7 and ryan integrator to integrate this addon what sequence must one follow? IE7 with nlite first and then Boogy's WMP11 with Ryan Integrator or the other way around? Or does it not matter.

I have so far been integrating Ryan's UPdate pack first with the Ryan Integrator, then lots of addons with the Ryan Integrator followed by IE7 & Boogy's tweaked WMP11 addon together with nLite. But now I plan to switch to this addon which is also now compatibale with the Ryan Integrator and thus was wondering what sequence of integration should I follow. My primary concern is whether WMP11 requires IE7 to be integrated before it.

Hey boooggy, you should use another number for "243 = system32\drivers\UMDF" Check Ryans entries.ini file; 241, 242, 243, 244, 245 and 246 are used. Maybe you can use 247 or sth else.
Maybe Ryan and you should think about that number together?

I miss the tweaked version.

No DRM. No WGA. No M$ crap.

[EDIT]

Make sure IE7 is DEAD-LAST. In fact, it's best to add it in a separate nLite session after doing everything else.

Glad to hear you're still working on that. I was given the impression by others that you removed it permanently and is why i picked up on it. As soon as you post one, mine will disappear. (The corporate MSI will continue to be offered.)

My guess is for nLite compatibility. Its only a distribution size though. Once integrated, its identical to as if it were made with uncompressed files in a 7z distribution, which in my tests is only 16.4 MB.

I have to agree with Boooggy on this one though. Maintaining compatibility with nLite is a good thing. I don't get out to read a whole lot. I can only hope nLite will someday support the format of distribution used by the Integrator. It does save a whole lot of bandwidth. Near 6MB difference is a lot for such a small distribution.

nLite does support the same compression as the integrator. My guess is Booogy decided to release this one with pre-compressed files inside the archive. Which in my opinion is better because it allows the integration to go much faster. It makes the addon larger to download... but the speed of integration is much better.

That makes sense. I hope he leaves it that way.
A few more MBs for a faster integration is a very small sacrifice.

PS:
Anyone know what I need to change to make something else the default music store instead of Audigy?

it is bigger cause are already compressed just for ths speed of integration (almost 2 times faster). and it has nothing to do with compatibility.....

-blink- already compressed... shouldn't that make 'em smaller not larger???

now i am confused.. oh well.. nothing new in that situation :)

@ Techno... He means the files are already manually cab compressd to exmple.dl_, in order to speed up the Integration

Its a much less effective compression method resulting in larger addon size ass opposed to compressing the same uncabed example.dll using 7zip

I prefer small addon size to speed... It takes me 2000 Plus seconds anywho :P

OMG! That is sweet!
Thanks Booooggy!

So to clarify, the now correct order is:
Copy XP source
Slipstream SP2
Use Boooggy WMP11 slipstreamer
Use RVM integrator or nLite for packs & IE7
Use BTS Driverpacks Base
Tweak WINNT.SIF
Compile ISO
Enjoy! :D

Yeah, I agree with Ryan. But prolly doesn't make a difference. But IE7 should ALWAYS go last. Check the nlite forum on this. You may have problems otherwise.

boooggy,
I dont' care what anyone says, the larger version is better. :D
I have broadband, so it only takes about 30 seconds longer to download. But integration is MUCH faster.

As for the Slipstreamer? NICE!! This'll help me with a Spanish xp cd I'm making.

Good stuff! Thx!

Please take note that if you use Slipstreamer with a localized Windows and a localized WMP11 installer you will find yourself with an english Msobmain.dll. (and if you don't integrate localized RVMUP with an english Uxtheme.dll too)
So for example you'll have "activate Windows" window title in english instead of your own language, "please wait..." in english at the first boot and so on.
So be careful at the moment with localized system.

@ nonno fabio: I tried boooggy's method in turkish xp. I was "Please wait..." in turkish, and didnt catch any english words till now. I havent looked at activate windows yet, but it might be as you said.
Just for your information...

Also, i plan to use them in my turkish wmp11 addon, as they didnt create any conflicts till now...

Happy to read it: like I wrote, if I later integrate RVMUP who contains same dlls of same build, italian one overwrite english dll and that problem doesn't appear.
But if I slipstream on a fresh italian XP sp2 without integrating RVMUP (I know, it isn't a frequent event) i get those "bugs" and maybe someone more

EDIT
I noticed that Boooggy's uses a newer build of msobmain.dll, .2659 who comes from kb894871. Newer than the one included in rvmup (.2626).
So even if you use RVMUP after wmp slipstreaming you will get msobmain.dll in english.
I think the solution for a wmp11 slipstreamed XP source is integrating localized kb894871 after localized RVMUP

Hi boooggy,

could you please shortly explain the difference between addon pack and slipstreamer (I basically understand the two different procedures, but I still wonder if the final result will differ...)

Actually, is slipstreamer suitable for localized versions of the WMP11 installer and non-English XP sources?

Thanks a lot for your hard work,

WMP11 in localized windows

Post by tsitouridis » Thu Feb 01, 2007 2:37 pm

Hi.... I have been using the wmp11 addon with nlite with no problem from my english version of windows.....

The new wmp11 slipstreamer technicaly must be able to provide me with the ability to include localized wmp11 in localized windows. The integration goes os nice. During the installation, installer reports 12 missing wav files (which are thoung located on the CD), but the installation completes perfectly without any theme issue of anything. Does anyone have an idea of what I may have left out?

For what i can see here, the point of the wmp11 integrator is to download a new integrator for new tweeks instead of downloading the pack everytime. New version of wmp11 and tweaks with a much smaller download.

Missing WAVs

Post by tsitouridis » Sat Feb 03, 2007 6:44 am

OK... now let me see. There are 18 wav files.
XPBalln.wav
XPBatCrt.wav
XPBatLow.wav
XPCrtStp.wav
XPError.wav
XPHdFail.wav
XPHdRem.wav
XPLogoff.wav
XPLogon.wav
XPMin.wav
XPNotify.wav
XPPrint.wav
XPRecycl.wav
XPRingin.wav
XPRngout.wav
XPShutdn.wav
XPStart.wav
XPStartU.wav

Let me say again that the integration gives no error..... nlite afterwards gives no errors and the installation goes on nicely, even with those missing files, though the files are located on the iso file.

Tested the integrator with tweaks and boogy's icons. Everything worked perfectly. I integrated in the following order:

RVMUpdatePack 2.1.6
RVMAddonsWGA 1.5.723.1
RVMAddonsDX9C 1.1
WMP11_TweakedAddon (Downloaded from microsoft yesterday and integrated with the integrator)
PatchAddon_UXTheme

Tested with M$ virtual PC 2004.
