u are compressing...CNC DX9C.in_
but adding extra RED_DX9C.inf
in I386...

so if the user without CNC addon.... u are compressing wrong inf...
if user with CNC addon...
2 inf will be doing some same job...

hope this is fix... tell me if i am wrong by reading the pack....

No, but it doesn't matter since there is no requirement for any of the files to be compressed anyway so it will still work fine.

it matters, only as the setup uses the compressed file only, if they are the same it wont matter.

I have XP x64 install media and a 64-bit laptop, but the laptop came with Vista and the driver support for XP x64 is very lacking, I asked HP and they have nothing beyond a "Quick Button" driver for it.

You also forgot to register one of the DLL files

Code: Select all

xaudio2_0.dll
P.S. Why do we need the INF files? The installer does not add them and they are useless

Hi Rick,
I want advise that in the addon you have posted in the locked topic (DirectX9.0cMarch2008AddOn.7z) there is a bug

Code: Select all

xact30.dll   = 100,,,,,,,2,0,0,xactengine2_9.dll
xact30.inf   = 100,,,,,,,20,0,0,xact2_9_x86.inf
Bye
