It's just a tweak addon, Kel, but it's been around a while.

Us2002, since it's just a tweak addon, perhaps it is best to keep it separated.

Dont understand... in Ryan pack CALC.EXE 946 448 bytes, in your pack 1 060 624; Makecab.exe v.5.1.2600.1106, 43 520 bytes and v.6.0.5235.0, 90 112 bytes; modifyPE.exe 8 636 bytes and 10 752 bytes.

Integtated, installed, normal fly, but... not exist open subfolder and open in new folder (are exist alternative functional nice feature?) and in SendTo exist not working link to upx.

Fixing the upx sendto now. Open in new folder?? Open subfolder does not work well and will not be in this pack.

Kel., the 'advanced uninstall' on the inf doesn't work and in add/remove programs ("Show updates" ticked) only regshot, unlocker, and the TaskSwitch worked.

Now on the CPL addon it did work and I'm glad you had that in there because add/remove programs didn't work either for the CPL.

Your add\remove section has to be borked. I have not touched the uninstall sections for a coupla releases and on my machine I just redid this morning with Ryans 2.1.10 and severall addons, including CPl a-i-o and uberpack all of the entries show up fine and do what they are supposed to do. I just uninstalled all of them.

As for the Advance uninstall not working on my UberPacK - It won't. It looks for a xection called uninstall and runs it. However due to the fact that I have several uninstalls running from that inf and none of them are named just uninstall.

Hello Kel,

I tried Uberpack v9.9.5 in a new Unattended DVD today and for some reason the ClearType turned on by default' did not work. Can someone please confirm whether this is a problem with this pack or am I just doing something wrong. I have been using this pack for a long time now withotu any problems and this is the first time that the 'Clear Type' setting did not work.

There is another issue I have been meaning to write about for the last couple of builds. For some reason the 'Unlocker' no longer shows up in the tray and also when a file si locked the unlocker box does not pop up on it's own as it used to. I see 'Unlocker' listed in the 'right click menu' and I am able to run it from there but it just does not run by default. Can you or someone else please confirm if this is a problem with the pack or is it just my implementation that is the problem.

One last thing. Is there any way for me to have the old icon for Notepad 2 back? I really prefer the old icon over the new one. Also, for some reason, my registry tweaks that used to work with the old Notepad 2 v1.??? don't work with the new Notepad 2 v2.??? For eg. 'Word Wrap = On' & 'Show Wrap Symbols = On'. Any ideas how I might be able to get these tweaks working with the new version?

Sorry, in case none of the issues are due to the pack. But I just felt that I should bring them to your attention in case they are.

Haven't messed with cleartype is ages.

The unlocker icon no longer shows up because I disabled it from showing in the systray. I have reversed that change for the next release. It is easy enough to see if it is running on your system just ctrl-alt-delele and look under proccesses it will show as unlockerassistant.exe.

All of the Notepad2 settings are now kept in an ini file. Simply make and save all of your desired changes and grab the notepad2.ini from the system32 dir and copy it over at t-13 or post install.

Which icon did you like? I have tried several different ones just describe it to me I will be happy to change it back...

Thanks for the info. Also, the icon I prefer, is the one that has an open diary with green borders with lines of writing in blue and a dark yellow pencil shown.

v9.6 is a complete success and everything works perfectly just as it should. Yes, the 'Cleartype On by default' worked fine too. I still can't fathom what may have caused it to not work last time. The Notepad2 icon is back and so is the Unlocker Icon in systray.

Well, I don't know how Kel feels about this whole thing and it's his decision in the end, naturally. But I personally feel that he cannot and should not be expected to provide a personalised edition of his pack for each and every one of us. Just learn how to tweak the settings you care about for yourself, people!

The Unlocker Assistant icon, for example, can be easily set to hidden by including "-H" in its command line (or set to show by removing same). Just extract the pack, edit UberPack.inf to your liking (search for [Unlocker.addreg] section, for Unlocker settings, in the previous example) and repack.

Simple!

This pack was built alot on user requests and I try to fill all of them as they come along. Sanjay requested a couple of minor changes and if enough users don't like them then he will naturally be over-rulled.

if we had bundled some "most have" utility's to utilize as a service that would be preferred on any secured system
and probably less yak/clutter on the network and task manager ..
these as services will start before any user has logged on, it will have nothing to do with users login settings anymore
creating services using the inf file aren't that hard to make

so why turn into service ? ..
its mainly good for tools that you know : are running at all times, turning them into a service will make the system more tweaked and secured by probably getting less calls in the network ( as in example )

Nope, it seems Kel simply forgot to upload the new v9.9.8 file. The linked file still matches the old Hash.

Resource Hacker don't work for change installer icon in
Right click on installer->Send To->Resource Hacker->Action->Replace Icon...
(in both 9.9.7 and 9.9.8 version).
