[Request] VirtualBox Guest Additions

Post by DigeratiPrime » Wed Oct 31, 2007 9:59 pm

Basically like the VMware Tools addon here
http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3471

but for VirtualBox!
http://www.virtualbox.org/

I am using VirtualBox more often now becuase it has a lighter footprint and the guest os performance is much better than in vmware. :)

Yeh I was introduced to VirtualBox a few months ago and loved it so much I dumped VMware on the spot. Another bloated POS shareware replaced by a lean clean free/open source alterative (YAYYY!)

RogueSpear already has a release of this which I am using on my current install. You'll need to register to get access to his downloads section...

Cheers!

I am referring to the Guest Additions:
* Guest Additions for Windows and Linux. VirtualBox has special software that can be installed inside Windows and Linux virtual machines to improve performance and make integration much more seamless. Among the features provided by these Guest Additions are mouse pointer integration and arbitrary screen solutions (e.g. by resizing the guest window).
They are located in \Program Files\innotek VirtualBox\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso (5MB)
