http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=10544#10544 says 4332 indeed. But it is in fact 3993 when you install it.

Build 4332 comes with XP MCE Update Rollup 2. However, wmp.dll is not updated by that update. WMP10 uses the version of wmp.dll as the basis for what version it reports (go ahead, reshack it and see for yourself). Everything make sense now?

BTW, my addon's been based on build 4332 since I released version 2.0 last year.

if u used my addons wmplayer would be build 3931. and also ths same build in latest addon by Ryan.....

and like he said build 4332 is brought by wmfdist95.exe from WindowsXPMediaCenter2005-KB900325-usa.exe. i decided not to use this update anymore....

I used Ryan's 2.2 addon and have:

wmp.dll - 3993
wmplayer.exe - 3803

so I don't get it where 4332 comes from. :)

download WindowsXPMediaCenter2005-KB900325-usa.exe, then unpack and look for wmfdist95.exe. also unpack this one and u will see that all files in this one are build 4332.

The version of wmplayer.exe is completely irrelevant to what version is reported by WMP10.

Yes, I understood that Ryan. But I can't discover any files which do have .4332 as version was my response! Only wondering, don't really care.

the packs contains my preffered icon for wmp and vmc also my tweaks. i quited the xp media center 2005 update and "disable check for player updates" tweak cause it seems that m$ finally fixed it....

I found new free plug-in for playing AAC and aacPlus files from within Windows Media Player. Maybe you can add it to your addon or someone will create a separate addon pack? Direct link: http://www.orban.com/plugin/setup_AAC_a ... 1_0_19.exe

, that program puts 3 copies of the license and 2 copies of the readme in the directory it installs to. I guess they're serious about things.

BTW, from their license:
f) You may not host the Software on third-party web and/or ftp servers, or distribute by storage media such as magnetic disk, CD, DVD, or flash
RAM devices without prior permission.
So if boooggy wants to include it, he'll have to ask nicely :)

This might seem a stupid Q, but are there any real differences between the normal WinXP WMP & the MCE WMP (excluding the version)?
