If you use nLite and integrating Update Pack such as XPSP3_QFE_UpdatePack for Windows XP Post-SP3 (I use it) make sure that Pack is first, at least before my addon...otherwise it will be overwritten by orginal files with that old default bootscreen.

The Boot Screen image, is actually a resource located in the Windows kernel file. There are 4 unique kernel files that Windows uses:
* ntoskrnl.exe - Windows Single Processor Kernel
* ntkrnlmp.exe - Windows Multi Processor Kernel
* ntkrnlpa.exe - Windows Single Processor Kernel with more then 3 GB of RAM
* ntkrpamp.exe - Windows Multi Processor Kernel with more then 3 GB of RAM

ntoskrnl.exe
windows XP SP3 version            5657
-------------------------------------------
palette                          75d08
y-top                            31af0
                                 34b00
                                 34b8c
y-bottom                         31b6e

ntkrnlpa.exe
windows XP SP3 version            5657
-------------------------------------------
palette                          6ea88
y-top                            16ceb
                                 16de2
                                 16e03

                                 16df9

ntkrpamp.exe
windows XP SP3 version            5657
-------------------------------------------
palette                          72808
y-top                            17254
                                 1734a
                                 1736b
y-bottom                         1730d
                                 17361
kernel version 5657 is the last one i did the two above. the positions will be different now but pretty close to these ones. enjoy.
