There was Never a quick launch problem in OnePiece IE8 AddOns or OnePiece Update Packs (again with this story hmmmm)
Outbreaker wrote:@nonno fabio
The bug was if you install the IE8 from the "Winodws Components Wizard"
Internet Explorer 6-7-8 do not install from the "Windows Components Wizard", installed by SYSSETUP.inf [Infs.Always] Section
Outbreaker wrote:@nonno fabio
and then uninstall it again and then create a new Windows Account and login then it is not possible to enable the "Show Quick Launch" on this new created account.
This bug does not exist ??????????????????? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9Qshrh-TwU

The bug happened (on XPx64) after installing IE8. Your video only shows testing with IE6.

Hi 5eraph, is true (including x86), but IE8 True AddOn never had a problem, because a certain problem has been fixed in IE7 addon (and one thing that resolved after the first release of IE7 True AddOn years and years before), I know that the IE8setup.exe creates a certain problem, but not the IE8 True AddOn during installation of windows, or during the rollback of IE8, as noted Outbreaker (The video shows that, after ie8 rollback does not exist a certain problem ect ect)

is not clear where Outbreaker he sees the error hmmmmmm

Ciao.

@OnePiece Alb
This bug happens if you install and then unistalled "Internet Explorer" (not IE8 RollBack) and then make a new account. ;-)

@Outbreaker,

Maybe it would help if you could make a video showing how the problem occurs?

I used always yumeyao IE8 addon and i never had this problem. And in the "Winodws Components Wizard" the IE checkbox should be also checked and not unchecked after a fresh Windows XP installation.

I've been able to reproduce that behaviour...but just because I've watched your video posted...showing the way you access the quick launch toolbar creation...which is more...academic to say so :P
However the moment I appealed that creation of the same by my straight way...meaning right clicking on the taskbar---> Toolbars ---> Quick launch... it submitted docile to my will. When I disabled it...and accessed it via your way... it also created easily so no more PC resisting :shock:

Now stangely enough... trying to establish a path of behaviour by creating 2 more accounts to do the same, well it no longer did as the first time...

even if it happened to me once...the fact that it was able to fully recover using the simple way to create the Quick launch toolbar, my way,... and also because it refused to behave likewise in 2 more attempts after creating two more accounts...it is not a conclusive error :P ...maybe you have to appeal it too that simple way instead...maybe there is a missing variable to respond the way you like it...untill creating it like I said...who knows

or maybe the bahaviour is account name dependent 8) try changing the user "Bug" to whatever... in my career I found PC's with a lot of personality :)

@All
in that time when the IE8 RollBack and over, not just the Quick Launch but they do not work at all (regarding the IE), because in the system there are still files IE8 + IE6, and no more than the registry of IE8, but only registry of IE6, and necessary to force a reboot (if you want to use IE or do anything that regard the IE), that's one thing what happens when you run the uninstall.exe of IE8, and what happens during normal uninstall each update in all types of Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/Seven (as everyone knows Microsoft also uses large characters to tell the user does not close the PC during an update, or restart ect ect)

but the intention and purpose Outbreaker, and what does not, Outbreaker to another purpose, never mind not worth the trouble talk about it, Outbreaker before try to do the Troll must learn to use Windows

Sorry again everyone, for my English

Ciao a tutti.

"OnePiece Alb" i don't say this is a bug in your addon it's like "5eraph" said it's a bug from Microsoft i only asked you if you could add the Quick Launch fix that "yumeyao" added in his addon in yours too.

Here is a video with yumeyao IE8 addon integrated that fixed the Microsoft Quick Launch bug:

@Outbreaker (Last time I answer, since there is more than worth it to go forward with this story)
Forget who said 5eraph, 5eraph a very respected person in this community (and in all other communities where there is), through contribution behavior ect ect, and a moderator in this community for years and years OK, a great experience in this regard, and very very well known issue, and already the creator of True AddOn and Update Pack in WinXP x64, 5eraph fate in reference to another thing, forget it 5eraph, does not seek to put in the middle now 5eraph, how are you trying to do with yumeyao

there is not no bugs in Internet Explorer 8 released by Microsoft, Microsoft is not programmed to install IE8 on True Mod (integrate into Windows XP CD), Microsoft Program to install the IE8 from the desktop (in Windows XP already installed from ie8setup.exe), and everything is OK there

BUG on the "Quick Launch", and not out in IE8 but in IE7, and only when integrate in a CD, and Not when you normally install IE7/8

BUG on the "Quick Launch" to doom very noisy, because the IE7 first (as always), the True Mod integrated in Windows XP CD, NUHI in nlite OKKK, and in that time were millions of users who used nlite, so the BUG of "Quick Launch" to fate much noise

in a release of IE7 OnePiece True AddOn, fate by me (inspired, or to say better, taken from the nlite IE7, NUHI) addon fate from me in that year http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4847 and solved the problem of the "Quick Launch" OK, but after a few months the revised again most good, and solved the problem permanently as it should, the problem does not exist now, any kind of doubt they all ok and 1000% (in every possible scenario, which may exist), and everything just OKKKKKKKK

yumeyao (which is very very good in all jobs which makes) not the fate IE7 AddOn (and the IE8 AddOn the fate later, for what I know, the yumeyao IE8 AddOn, and born from the idea of AIO IE8 AddOn Windows XP\2003 http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=91155#91155 ) perhaps forgotten (I do not know), and later performed a repair in IE8 (in "Quick Launch")

in poor words, in IE8 True AddOn has never existed the BUG "Quick Launch" OKKKKKKK, instead you from 3 years in IE8 True AddOn, and Update Pack and present where the default IE8, wrote to the thousand of messages\post of all types, and signaling things that do not exist, or that are not true OKKKKK, and in my opinion, to the fate with evil intent, I do not think is worth more than worth it, discuss it now Ok

the point and that this or said that I, you know very well, but still pretend not to understand

If you prefer to create your own addon in every language you like, you can use this tool. You must place only IE installer and the needed hotfixes in your own language in a temp folder. Then run the Addon Creator, enter the path of your folder and wait a few seconds/minutes (depends on your system) for the completion popup. 7-zip the resulting files.
Ciao.

I think that nonno fabio merely posted that as a way for someone to make their own version if they wanted a different language rather than the ones that OnePiece makes - English and Italian.

IE8 Error

Post by laddanator » Wed Jan 16, 2013 10:31 am

Just want to say thanks for this addon and I have been using it for years error free til the newest release.

Here are my steps

1. Clean unmodded XP Pro source

2. userhidden newest update pack

3. OnePiece newest Netframe 1.1 3.5 and 4.0

4. OnePiece newest IE8 addon

and this is the error I get when I try to open IE8 after the reload

Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Like I said, been using this addon for years with the same steps listed above so not sure what changed?

I am looking into this to make sure it's not on my end. I will report back.

Disregard my previous post. The error is on my end. Something going on with the HDD I am loading to. I installed on a different HDD and IE8 is working fine. Sorry and thanks again for the release.

OK.
It's pretty difficult (I could write impossible) that a new release of ie8 addon causes a new issue as it never changes in its structure.
In the future, post your setuperr.log file.
But always ignore these errors!
