[Request] A way 2 'slipstream' different hardware profiles.

Post by kbal » Thu Apr 03, 2008 7:24 am

Is there a way to slipstream different hardware profiles (which services will be runing) into XP installation, so i would not have to manualy set them, like always.
What i'm talking about is explained here: http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm
It would be very nice, couse not running unneeded services, can realy increase performance.
(I know you can disable them with Nlite, but that's not it).

Because you can only disable services, not create a selectable hardware profile.

Maybe using XML templates and applying by commandline batch running pserv 2.7 ? (exe not cpl)
For services is possible to save status, restart, etc.

But after few tests seem that only dumping/restarting (if no errors) is done silent.
