really what could be the differences between the adobe reader and this reader
I'm asking because sometimes I'm facing a little trouble with some .pdf documents format with foxi reader, but it works perfect with adobe reader.
so what is the different?
Thanks
Thanks :)

Differance is adobe reader is a big bloated peice of software and foxit is a small light reader, even if it does lack a few features adobe reader has.

as far as i know, there were some legal restrictions around foxit v.2. has anything been resolved around this since then or do we still have to work it out by ourselves at our own risk?

kelaniz, I contacted foxit for permission and they kindly gave it, basicly as long as your not profiting and include the eula and redist agreement they`re fine with you distributing it.

TechnoHunter, Link fixed thanx for noticing.

Wow this topic is a couple years old, but the addon is still alive over here!

http://xable.net/forums/viewtopic.php?id=79

However ... my problem is I'm using this as an integrated addon - and despite the fact the inf file adds the HKCU entries to disable the adverts - any users that log on won't have this info so the adverts appear! :( Is there no other way to get rid of the adverts? If not I'll have to use logon .reg file adding, or manually edit the hives in ntuser.dat with the info :(

I also noticed you saying you didn't update teh version of foxit in your addon to v3+ because you could no longer remove the adverts? But I installed the latest version yesterday and it still had the same view->advertisements menu option that removed them when unticked. Not sure if the regentries are still the same though?
I'd like to stick one of my many great sigs here. But I can't be bothered. Please try to do without =.=
