Excellent work. Works perfectly.
Just for every ones info; this replaces the background picture just before T-39, then when OOBE loads, the background picture is removed so that whatever theme background you have chosen as default will display normally.

Awesome! :)

nice, but i was wondering if it were possible that it would be persistant after oobe till runonceexe finishes and when the destop theme gets loaded for the first time it would obvisouly be changed with it.

never the less, thx for this.

well from what i understood and sorry for my english

well here how my addon work

first before T-39 the background gets loaded

you would see it working

and in the middle setup the inf file kicks in

and delete the file and registery commands

but since in setup there is no refresh

the computer loads from memory the picture

so the computer thinks it`s exist until next restart

and when computer loads the registry doesn't exist

so the computer runs normally

and you don`t see the background replaced as you don`t see it in first place

keeping the registry until next runonce i think it`s impossible

because the background wouldn't be replaced <<< that what my tests ended into

and also

you don't need this background until setup finishes install

Doesn't work for me  , should I integrate this addon on second run of RVMi? or this will conflict with CyberVistaBootscreen?

Doesnt work for me too. But there are new file "hivedef.inf" at the root of my CD (not in I386) with only section AddReg. Copy this section and paste into I386\hivedef.inf just before Strings section - and all works fine!

And I'm using 7z DriverPack integration & un7z window hides part of the wWindows Logo. I moved logo in editor up & full logo is visible.

WinXP SP3, RVMi 1.5.3, hivedef.inf at root of CD, only BDBD AddReg entries. & Windows Logo overlayed by un7z unpack progress window.

There was a bug in the [editfile] processing with RVMI beta 8. This should be fixed in beta 8.2. In the new beta (NOT 1.5.3), [editfile] now uses the @Destination\foobar variable instead of I386\foobar or AMD64\foobar

Well, the bug I found was that if you integrated any addon that uses the [editfile] function WITH an updatepack then some entries are skipped. Addons integrated on their own work fine. Also, it's intermittent which makes it even tougher to troubleshoot. Unfortunately this bug is still present in RVMI 1.5.4b8.2 :(

So, to guarantee success, integrate this addon separately from any updatepack (until the bug is fixed).
