From another post I figured out someone wanted this one made into an addon file.

Can you add an contextual menu to drives for defragmener? Defragment or open defragmenter? If you used O & O defragmenter you know what im talking about. Or to add on file contextual menu --> Defragment file. Or you can add both drives and file contextual menu. I think you understood what im talking about.

Im not talking about the GUI. Im talking about contig.exe
You got to add some registry with switches for contig.exe. Just like using a commnad line. When right click on a drive, the context menu to say "Defagment Me" or something like that.

Same thing when right click on a file or folder.
If you want, i can send you the .reg to include it in the addon.

Does the registry recognize system variables? I dont want to use that reg file as is due to the fact windows is not always installed to the c: drive.

It can recognise variables if contig.exe is put in system32.
The reg file:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\Defragment\command]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\Defragment File\command]

NO! You removed it. I integrated it into an old disk before I upgraded my computer, and I don't have the cab anymore, can you repost?

That is for sysinternals programs... I am trying to recreate the cab that was released above for my own personal use.

I have the following files:

Defrag.cpl (Power Defrag control panel icon)
Power Defragmenter.exe (gui for contig.exe)
contig.exe (the only sysinternals file that was in the original cab)

I am trying to integrate it into my windows install, and I'm not quite sure how to build the cab. I read the How to, but it doesn't make any sence to me.

ONCE AGAIN... that is the SYSINTERNALS BUILDER!!!!!!!!

WHAT I AM TRYING TO DO IS:

Create a cab file that will integrate Power Defragmenter (and all required files listed above) into my Windows XP Install. Power Defragmenter is not a Sysinternals program, therefore the Sysinternals Builder will not create a cab with Power Defragmenter and the CPL file.

THE SYSINTERNALS BUILDER WILL NOT DO THIS FOR ME.

I AM ATTEMPTING TO REBUILD THE CAB AS IT WAS BEFORE SYSINTERNALS CAUSED THE CAB THAT WAS RELEASED ABOVE.

SO! Before you refer me to viewtopic.php?t=1735 AGAIN! please read everything not in CAPS

I apologise for the caps, but it appears that people are not reading the problem before offering a solution.

think they are going by : "Power Defragmenter is just a frontend GUI for SysInternals poweful and fast defragementation engine. The engine itself is a lot faster and more efficient ..."
