Wow that's quick work there. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Sidenote: I hate all this PC-crap, like you should get offended if another person wishes you to be happy.

any chance you know (if its possible) to use at least the hidden files toggle in a 64bit os ?

im testing windows 7 x64, and i can register the .dll if i put it in the sysWOW64 folder (registration fails in system32), but the option for toggling wont appear.

as an important bit of information, now the registry editor has an option for setting ownership of individual keys, and adding Regedit, DeviceManager and others to the right click of my computer couldnt be done if i didnt take ownership of the key i was puting the options in.

Maybe the option for hidden files toggle not apearing is related to that.. or maybe not :P (it works on windows 7 32b)

This isn't new; WinNT has always had ACLs for registry keys. Many of these keys require that you be elevated as an admin. What is new is that the ACLs have been adjusted such that a number of system keys are now protected such that the admins and the system are barred from modifying them. Yes, you can work around this by taking ownership, but it's something that you should not be doing, esp. since the special owner is actually a NT service and not a regular user or group, which makes undoing such ownership takeovers impossible.
My addons: CmdOpen - HashCheck - Notepad2 - MS Runtimes - DirectX

Into the breach, meatbags!
