Installing addon packs from windows environment

Post by DickDastardly » Sun Nov 27, 2005 10:44 pm

Please excuse my ignorance, but is there a way of adding these addon packs directly from windows, or do they need to be integrated for a Windows installation using Ryan's Integrator or nLite?

lol @ avneet, but yup this is actually the case for most addons, either you do fresh install , or download setup for software you want

You don't. Unless you un-cab them and sift through the files and manually place the files where they need to be. These cabs are meant to be integrated into the cd.

Just get WindowBlinds and install whatever themes you want with that.

Are you saying that everytime there's a new update to an addon pack, I need to reintegrate it into the Windows install and create a new clean install?

Updates come out rather often. Doesn't give me much time to enjoy what's already there. Seems to me that I might have been on the right track. Seems like it would have been a good idea to be able to install these addons directly from Windows (or even do an integration of an initial addon version then clean install), but be able to perform updates to these addons from within Windows.

i think cant be more simpler then this...

look for it ..downlaod and install.. the addon/plugin packs cannot be intergrated easily on running envornment..coz itnstead of reg files teher are inf files and all sorts of decompressing and replacing files manually..so if u dont want the pain.. just google..

and remember GOOGLE is GOD
