Games/Pinball/Internet Games ==> this will be great
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 build 1830 (Retail version only) ==> what is this??
all these will be great, and one more question, System restore is included in W2K3, but doesn't appear in System Properties, is this what u did?, i mean can u make it show in system properties?
And an update pack for wmp10 hotfixes, to bring it to latest ver.
anyway this is great idea :d

It appeared in System Properties. It works but one problem only is I can't enter system restore (maybe update issues.

I did the game pack for this if you search this forum for it you'll find them...

I have instructions here somewhere to convert 2003 to XP like, but I never cared much for 2003 to use them...

I have the guide still if anyone wants it, IM me and let me know so I can send it to you...

Upon further exploration it's the same guide as what's here. You can also find out more by looking here, and here at MSFN.

It's almost done!

Only one problem, though. When I type "reg restore HKLM\System\Setup dumppfix.hiv", it won't let me modify and see "Error: Access is denied". But when I manually import it from regedit, it works fine. If you guys know any method, please let me know so I can finish this tool.

Update on 31/01/2006 (2nd)
User Accounts now use Windows XP's User Accounts

I haven't tried on 2k3x64 but I think it should work since there's XPx64 ones which uses 2k3 core.

After countless working hours, I've finished this tool. It can convert your Windows Server 2003 to Windows XP Professional in few clicks.

Features:

Windows Server 2003/Windows XP conversion (Retail or cracked winlogon.exe only)

Server security configuration
|-Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration
|-Shutdown Event Tracker
|-Error reporting
|-Ctrl+Alt+Del requirement on startup
|-Drive auto-mounting

Features configuration
|-Manage Your Server logon window
|-Processor scheduling
|-Windows Update
|-Firewall
|-Start Menu items (You have to create new Administrator account)

Services configuration
|-Themes
|-CD-Burning
|-Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)
|-Multimedia support and DirectX acceleration
|-Visual effects

XP missing stuffs configuration
|-User accounts in Control Panel
|-Classic games
|-3-D arcade pinball game
|-System Restore
|-Shell services (logon, fast user switching, progress dialog ,user picture, etc.).

Functions

1. It can apply Windows XP conversion as close as Windows XP Professional x64 Edition SP1
2. It can undo conversion back to original (You can choose to remove some or all)
3. It can convert Windows Server 2003 CD to Windows XP CD (Not real, though)

Is anyone having problems running windows update after they've installed this conversion pack? I've installed a fresh copy of Windows 2003 R2 (standard) and Windows Update fails to see any new updates.

Removing the XP conversion pack results in seeing updates available again..

Sorry to necro, but on 2k3 x64, I get "Cannot open C:\windows\system32\oembios.sig. The system cannot open the file specified."
