Which update pack / Win2K3 R2

Post by Judge_MC1 » Sun Mar 26, 2006 6:56 am

Can anyone confirm if the Win2K3 SP1 Update Packs work ok on Win2K3 R2 and if there is any reason I should use a particular Win2K3 update pack, looks like codejunkie, dimadr and boooggy all have released update packs.

Is there any differences? Am I missing something?

I just want all the MS hotfixes to current after SP1, dont need anything extra like WMP or Games. Which should I use?

EDIT: ohh and is there any reason I shouldnt use these in a corporate environment?

Thanks muchly

welcome Judge_MC1, you can use it on w2k3 r2, if you have installed sp1. r2 isn't a service pack. so no problem at all,

My update pack hasnt been updated for quite sometime development of my website that builds the update pack as you want has taken priority.

My idea is you will have a list of update and you just check the updates you wish to include in your pack and you submit the request and you get an email when its done compiling the ~50MB file to download, the size and time it takes will depend on how many updates are included. Unfortunately the website is along way off being a reality. It’s a substantial challenge! Special seeing I am only just learning PHP

if you'd like to help PM me

Im going to write up some design and also a mission statement. the site is up and running...if you can call it that...nothing is running off the database and no updates are on the database
Windows 2003 Update Pack - Current Version 1.3.8 (13 Oct 2006
Currently included more than 80 Updates aswell as extra programs and runtimes such as MSXML 2-6, Microsoft Update, Adobe Flash Player...etc
Based upon RyanVMs Windows XP PostSP2 Update Pack
