If you downloaded v2017-06_2 in the past two hours then you should download it again. Microsoft tried slipping a new RootsUpd.exe by unnoticed. It's now in the pack. ;)

It's so cool that Microsoft is still updating XP x64 after all these years. Thanks for all your hard work 5eraph. I think it's time for a media refresh with your latest pack and a reinstall.

Cheers

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting increased CPU idle temps after one of these updates? (not sure which one, because they were all installed at the same time). No increased CPU utilization per se, just increased temperatures. CPUTIN is now sitting at 50+ and individual temps are now 65+. And this is on an underclocked Xeon L5240 with a 40W TDP.

EDIT:Nevermind... It turns out my computer just needed to be cleaned. Not to mention the fact that one of the retention clip feet was bent over instead of passed through the hole on the CPU, so the heatsink must have been sitting on a slant for a while.

I am now getting much better temps (45-50 idle).

Let me get to understand. I can use XP update pack alongside with "5er_Win2003_Addon_2017-06_1_x64.7z"?

So i can't use XP x64 update pack with windows 2003 x64 update pack. Sorry, but this confused me "A Windows 2003 addon is available to supplement this pack." xD.

If you intend to update a Windows 2003 x64 source, then you must use both the XP x64 update pack and the Windows 2003 x64 addon, blackul2005.

The XP x64 update pack updates the files common to both operating systems. The Windows 2003 x64 addon updates the files that only appear in Windows 2003 x64.

In a week I'll update the NT5.2 EoS Delta Addon again, as it was originally designed to be a small supplement to a larger download. I won't force users to redownload 90+ megabytes for a paltry 742 kilobytes of new stuff. ;)

Unless of course Microsoft decides to release some more significant XPx64 updates for next Patch Tuesday; that would justify a new release of the pack.
