Integrate X64 bit driverpacks

Post by steviewonder » Tue Mar 24, 2009 10:38 am

Has anyone found any driverpacks for XP 64?
Also can I just use the Vista 64 driverpacks to slipstream into XP 64?
I highly doubt it but sure would like to get driverpacks for it or maybe just collect them all myself I guess is the only way :D

The best thing would be to ask over at www.driverpacks.net

The only indirect XP64 support for dps that you'll find at driverpacks.net is here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=4954

Oddly enough, XP64 support can be found by the name "driverpack solution" here: http://drp.su/
or here: http://forum.driverpacks.net/viewtopic.php?id=4339

OK, so I'm downloading 2.4 Gigabytes through a torrent to exe client (for which I can't config down or upload speed unfortunately..)
Why not make the index of all drivers the first download, so you'd only have to download the larger files when there is a demand for them?

I can't imagine 2.4 Gb being necessary to find out which drivers are needed..

I'm still looking for a solution to integrate Mass Storage updated drivers on XP x64...

Does anyone have any news about it?

What is that last link's relation to XP x64 ? I don't see *anything* about XP x64 Edition on that forum, except for flamewars about its necessity..

A glance at the translated drp.su forums and a thorough perusing of the files included in "their" packs available for download reveal no packs or explicit support for XPx64 (nt5_x86-64 is not listed anywhere).

Unfortunately, I haven't kept up with the goings on at the DriverPacks Forum for a few years. I'm happy that BASE should be capable of working with XPx64 at some point (if I'm correctly interpreting what you're saying there, mr_smartepants), but the XPx64 packs themselves don't seem to exist yet.

Sadly, a complete solution does not yet exist. The best available solutions for XPx64 mass storage are still those provided by Fernando 1 on nLite's forum (Intel and nVidia only). I've had some success using Microsoft's guide (and a simpler readme file from an Intel chipset driver package) with simple PNP drivers (equivalent to DP_BASE Method 1). Mass storage and complex PNP drivers such as audio and video are well beyond my grasp.
