sXP x64 drag issues

Post by Nulbit » Wed Jan 13, 2010 4:54 am

Hey there.
Im a biiiiig fan of the superior XP x64.
But no matter which computer im on, window dragging lags.

By lag i mean, if the computer haven't been active for awhile.
(If the desktop have been frozen still with a window or 2 on it)

When you then pickup the window, and drag it over the screen, it lags for like 2-3 secs. Nothing major, but still annoying.

Anything you could help me with?

Thanks alot!

I don't believe I've encountered that problem. It sounds like you may need more memory, especially if you have background tasks running while the computer is idle.

To be clear, the update pack may have been used in sXP, but I am not associated with sXP. Problems with that build should be brought to the attention of its creator.

Well, your sig was in the .txt.
And many of the links there are dead.
So thought it would be a good place to ask.

i7 920 (Stock 2.6ghz)
6gb Triple channel 1600mhz

Those aren't the issue..
But it's only the few second drag lag.. As said; nothing major!

Thanks though!

Is it perhaps lagging when it's waking up the hard drives, if they are set to go to sleep after inactivity? Does nothing else produce the same lag?
