ie8tweaks.ini rejection

Post by oao » Fri Jan 15, 2010 6:32 am

I think I posted this issue earlier but don't seem to have gotten a reply:

I deleted entries from the name of the file and zipped it and yet it is rejected by nLite as not being a proper file.

what gives?

Thanks.

But I did answer—18 minutes after you reported the problem to be precise. ;)

Don't rename the file before zipping. Zip first, rename the zip after.

Here's an example with an updated tweaks file. Notice that the INI name has "entries" in it where the 7Z name does not. This is important if you use nLite to add the tweaks due to bugs in how it deals with entries*.ini files. RVMi does not have this problem. In fact, RVMi can properly handle entries*.ini files without zipping them.
