What makes XP auto-refresh all windows now and then?

Can't vouch for Vista and 7, but on XP at least I find it tends to refresh all my open windows every now and then, which is really annoying when I've got new files/folders at one end that I'm trying not to get mixed up with everything else.

I always assumed it had something to do with the icon cache, but my "Max Cached Icons" setting is currently at 32768. I don't get it. Is there something else that's causing it? I wish to stop it, you see.

that, combined with the icon cache setting should do it.

I put a bunch of tweaks on MSFN's site a long while back. You should use them because I'm a fucking genius.

Mister "fucking genius", I need your help...I have this copy/move to folder regtweak, but it gives me the double popup windows (both move and copy pop up) every now and then I do a task (like right clicking a folder in the start menu and choosing open)

What is the cause, I have not been able to solve this problem

BTW I am using Spanish XP

The bug was in Kel's UberPack. It was fixed. I'm not sure what is causing it now either.

It removes the tweak.

Strange, I have this reg setting enabled already. I'll have to see if it's anything like Comodo Firewall, or the Apple Mobile Device Service, or Drive Space Indicator that's doing it...

It's Drive space it refreshes the icon cache frequently. (That causes a explorer refresh)
