Great idea to compile a list! Very helpful. You missed at least one - Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 SP3 Addon By OnePiece - http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php? ... onenglish/ - made for CODYQX4 for use with his TabletPC Add-on. There might be others, if so, I hope everyone will let you know so your list can be comprehensive. It might also be useful to reference strel's program - Silent .NET Maker synthesized 20100118 - W2K/XP/2K3 x86 - http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/127790- ... xp2k3-x86/ and any other similar programs, if there are any. the addon is NOT discontinued but completely up to date since it was released !

Just few developer talk about x86/x64 in their FrameworkPack-Threads.
So, i think the most is x86 Only, the one where i know its for x64:

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1, 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2, 3.5 SP1 + Language German (sereby)

Its a Auto-Installer with GUI and manual-options.
Install some runtimes more then just the frameworks.
You can disable to install the german-languages-packs.

So, which one of these should be used to get a .net updated win7sp1 installation? Should all versions be used?

I'm confused, last time I dabbled with this some handy aio pack was used, I think.

Download one of these .net4 (standard or slim) 7ziped admin installs for updating (slim is better)
Also download all the hotfixes (msp's) and put them in the respective folders for slipstreaming
After you update the installers using the cmd delete it along with the hotfix folders
Use 7zip to compress your .net4 files and use this to create an installer http://www.mediafire.com/?5u3jel95293lkj3

@Knowone - with Win7 you only need to add .NET 4 because the other frameworks are now part of the OS and will be updated through the regular MU channel. Ricktendo64's maker is the latest one for that purpose and will make the smallest dual architecture, x86/x64, installer for both client and full of all installers or makers that I am aware of.

You might want to read this thread - http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9013. It's only a couple of pages, but you should read it all. You can find the latest prebuilt installers there from n0ak - x64 client only http://www.mediafire.com/?zqj9ds40e0cph4l (Aug 10, 2011), [using MS standard methods] - and the one from troubada - dual architecture, x86/x64, client only http://www.mediafire.com/?m424tonun8rhtp1 (Sept 4, 2011), [slimmed using most of Ricktendo64's methods], if either of those would meet your needs.

This is very cool! Is there a thread or home page dedicated to this method where I can learn more?

EDIT: I added the KB2572078 & KB2518870 MSP's. Does that get me current and up-to-date?

when i install windows 7 ultimate x64 sp1 i use autopatcher to install hotfixes.
i must say although dot net is part of windows 7 clean install it has alot of hotfixes to download and autopatcher doesnt cache the hotfixes.
Is there a hotfix installer with the patches cached to do all these hotfixes than using windows update?

I also use windows xp x64 and when i install dot net 1 to 4 there is a hefty amount of hotfixes to download via windows update or automatic update.
is there dot net installers with these hotfixes to suit the above issues i have?

the point i'd like to make is although there are dot net installers out there i see little or nothing about them being patched with the hotfixes that microsoft should but doesnt include in newer releases of its dot net installers because they dont make them they keep making me use ms update

fyi here's another place to find silent installers for dot net and runtimes x86 AND x64.

the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2005-2015 v1.2 i've used in xpsp3 x86 and works like a charm

Anyone have an updated AIO for XP?

Looks like Rick has stopped updating his [Legacy] .NET Framework AIO for XP x86 (1-10-2016). There have been 11 updates since. I asked rick for details on how to update his AIO and all he sent back was:

msiexec /a <installer_name>.msi /p <patch_name>.msp /qb!

Since I had no idea what to do with that to create the dotNetFXAIO_2016mmdd.exe, I've been installing the last .Net fixes manually on top of the last AIO after my monthly XP install. It would be great if I could avoid the manual installs using an updated AIO..
