please right click on the empty space of the folder where the files are placed and select view tiles (if in xp) or right clicking any of them...select Properties then Version ... there might be a minor version difference:

wrap_oal.dll from 2.2.0.5 to 2.2.0.7

and

openall32.dll from 6.14.357.24 to 6.14.357.25

I do not know yet what updated them, but I am not resource-hacking them to label mere version myself :) I am a grown up man

did not start an investigation yet...but I might do so to prove that it was updated by some legitimate software...since I see it is Nvidia involved in it too...might by something from them that anounces an iminent official update..

well, the same could be said regarding the older versions that are inside the current runtime pack...the important element is still the version upgrade and less the fact that Nvidia and Creative Labs are shaking hands...

and yet not able to track the software that thrown them inside the windows system folder  I might consider using the secret weapon... google by the new numbers ...

done !... the Openal that we have it is version v2.0.7.0 ( digital signature: 03 June 2009) but the latest version that is also digitally signed, seems to be v2.1.0.0 ( 18 November 2009 ), it installs newest versions of those 2 dlls ;)

Oalinst 2.1.0.0

It made me search everything installed on my computer...I even thought that Rovio with it's Angry Birds that I've installed lately might be held responsible for modifying dlls... :))

Kels, this is unrelated to digital johns post.

zlib1.dll has been updated to version 1.26.

Unfortunately, I can't find a compiled version anywhere yet, only source.
See here for info.

Maybe, I will try compiling it myself, if I have time this weekend.

Since this addon has a newer USP10.dll from vista, a possibly life saver for xp users (when used concurrently with some other newer Microsoft software), and this is not found in the windows 7 only version of the Runtimes, really hope Kel will keep updating both packages (the addon for xp and the installer for 7). :)

Hey Kels, thanks for the update.

I tried searching for more information on libmmd.dll but didn't find much on Intel's site.
It seems it's used with Intel's C++ compiler which I guess most users don't have.

Anyway, the updated version posted by ziomek above is signed by Intel (Oct.12, 2011).
Any reason you didn't include it in this update?
Maybe you found something in your searching that I missed?

also wrap_oal.dll is newer in the 7-pack - 2.2.0.7 vs. 2.2.0.5 in this addon.

and as ricktendo linked above - openal32.dll is also newer in the 7 pack and also in that linked installer - same version in both 6.14.357.25 vs 6.14.357.24 in this addon.

Thanks you very much for keeping them both updated. :)

anyone else getting an error trying to download that looks like this:

HTTP Error 403.6 - Forbidden
The IP address from which you are browsing is not permitted to access the requested Web site.

obviously it looks like i'm being blocked for some reason but i've tried from other IP addresses as well and am getting the same error.

any thoughts?

You're not alone. It looks like the entire wpiw.net site is effected. I know Kel has been having some problems lately. I don't know if this is realted to that or what.

I noticed that USP10.cat is missing in the latest update. Did you left it out on purpose? Thank you.

Kel, I'm seeing some errors with the latest addon. I guess because of the missing cat. Windows doesn't like that. See here.

You should ignore the error. This version of usp10.dll comes from this update and there is no CAT file included in it.
