Onepiece XP Post-SP3 AIO Update Pack FINAL
I faced the problem with updates always offered back after succesfully install too.
Tried to uninstall all the .NET versions and reinstall from scratch, nothing worked.
Only after I used .NET Framework Cleanup Tool that will unninstall and clear all traces and keys from registry finaly got to install right.
If Onepiece can't offer a better/easier solution for this, here you can find the tool http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archiv ... 04493.aspx

Some problem with Onepiece XP Post-SP3 AIO Update Pack v5.7.0-20120411:
- The download mirror Depositfile.com give me ITA version. I't not ENU version
- When i install windows XP from Original Windows XP SP3 CD, everything is fine. But after i intergrate Onepiece Pack into this CD Image, Everything still OK but only one problem: i cannot install Office 2010 because the setup file cannot run corectly (i download this big file directly from Microsoft). Windows Explorer cannot display the setup file icon, infomation, digital signal of this software, then cause it cannot install corectly. I tried to install Original Windows XP back and verything is fine again.
What the new function on your pack which cause the file cannot run corectly?
Thank in advance!
Here are some example pictures:
When i see that file in Windows Explorer of Original Windows XP SP3, it can display icon... and run corectly:

And, with the Windows XP which was intergrated your Update Pack, the Windows Explorer cannot display file's icon, and cause the file run incorect:

Should we use onepiece_repair_ie8_cosmetic_problems_addon.7z after XP SP3 integration with SP3_UpdatePack_v5.7.0_ENU_E8041879EECC5346AB34B6F6BCE2EAAE.7znonno fabio wrote:
Integration side effects (not UpdatePack bugs):
- setuperr.log will point out harmless error messages about some IE files like imgutil.dll, inetcpl.cpl, inseng.dll, mshtml.dll, msrating.dll, pngfilt.dll, occache.dll, webcheck.dll (caused by the patched Syssetup.dll used for integration and then restored with the original one). If you don't tolerate it you can integrate in addition this Onepiece Repair IE8 cosmetic problems addon
(Hash MD5 5C7AF8CA9F637C993F4AEEFFB63F39ED - Filesize: 1.28 Kb - updated 2008-03-27) which does nothing else than cleaning those false errors in your setuperr.log file. Please note that in some rare configurations the integration of this addon could cause issues
or Integrate first then use the addon?

If I understand clearly, it's the same. You can add it in same RVMi session of Updatepack or in a later one.
Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

I think there will be an update but Onepiece is very busy now, so I don't know when.

Hey, I wanna ask about OP Update Pack since it's content .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 and Silverlight v5.0.61118.0 inside...
And both of them has addon to remove from this UpdatePack or just use Winnt.sif [components] section.
1. Is needed or not, to instal .NET Framework 1.0 SP3 or just use .NET Framework 1.1 instead of 1.0?
2. Can we use another latest Silverlight addon after removal of Silverlight in this OP UpdatePack?
3. Then, anybody could explain about this Winnt.sif [components] section (sorry my Windows knowledge is poor maybe). But, I curious to know it before use it.

I have done it.. It's well documented how NT install order can be slip streamed through INI and OEM folder. I work though and can't invest the time; especially for .NET bugs. I do keep a AIO post-SP1 for 7 though.5eraph wrote:Try it yourself, cactus. You'll find it's not so simple.
I don't get why it takes months to replace a computer unless they have financial issues. I live in a baltic country(the 2nd hardest populated region to get orders in the world) and could have any hardware in 1-2 days.

The difference is that here you've got tens/hundreds of ini/inf files...
Hardware is not cheap and you need a decent one to effectively compile and test all these packages. I know what I'm talking about as I had only an old Pentium III when I started to prepare updates for Win2k and it was horrible (imagine running VMs on a P3 machine

PIII was a weak 1Ghz with slow FSB, no extended instructions and inefficient design. An Atom ITX with hyper-threading and SATA can be had pretty cheap and outperforms most penryns and 45nm P4s on a 180W PSU..tomasz86 wrote:The difference is that here you've got tens/hundreds of ini/inf files...

Compilers use threads and clock cycles, no MMX or SSE instructions. This means you buy by HDD speed and bus:core ratio which allows cheap hardware.
They're not making 3D content, they're using compression and filesystem tools..
It's been months though. I guess the time has come to build our own AIO packs, which takes minutes if you leave out flash. The MS update files to do it are even on this site.
In the meantime, you can also use user_hidden's pack - http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7184 - and add in the other extras separately. That's one of the advantages of having more than one pack maker - backup in case one of them is unavailable.

a QFE update pack: Check, we have user_hidden's
a current, updated dotNET all-in-one: I think there are several
a current, updated WMP11 addon: nothing that I can find

Onepiece's WMP11 true addon is still up to date.
And DX's UpdatePack&Addon Creator is always able to create an updated IE8 (or DirectX or Silverlight or WMP11 or..) true/svcpack/runonceex addon in a few easy steps.
You can find the most recent versions, even if not published yet, in Onepiece's Skydrive repository

Onepiece has solved his troubles with PCs at last, but then he has got personal problems.
I think we'll have a new release in July.

Hope all is well soon for you, Onepiece. Thank you for the work you do on your update pack. It is VERY much appreciated. I hope you'll find the time and energy to continue this project for a couple more years.
The problem with these updatepacks is that you need to keep up every month or it becomes a lot harder to maintain.
I experienced the same problems when I maintainend a localized update pack a few years ago.
Nowadays I keep up to date using a customized HFSLIP, investigating all updates manually and putting everything into subversion to track changes more easily.

thanks for the reply, i did also try the other XPSP3_QFE_UpdatePack for Windows XP Post-SP3 20120710
and i had exactly the same thing. so, ill try this update fix later on in the day!
as for windows live package, i only install the basic msn side of it and nothing else, but its there fully for others! ta! mike

Well, i re ran my xp with the new 1_5er_KB967756RollBack_Addon_v2011-11_1_x86 and i gota say that
yes a reboot is needed before windows live essentials can be installed. and it worked fine.
For me it just means that i now have to maually install windows live essentials after a complete xp and reboot installation. a minor inconvenience, unless there is another way!....
Is there a way to modify the onepiece 5.8.0 updatepack!
Is there any switches ect that can be used to install windows live essentials (MSN only) silently as i do not wish to use the other packages within it personally. amy help would be appreciated!

MU complains VC++ 2008 SP1 MFC security update KB2538243 after Onepiece 5.8
I used these settings in WINNT.SIF:
Should PowerShell be included to offset the KB2538243?

MU complains for VC++ updates only if you add one or more addon which will install it. There's a lot of SW which does it and it is not possible to add updates of something that it isn't already present in XP. If you test an integration with UpdatePack alone, MU will claim for nothing.

Thanks for keeping tools and update packs and everything else updated, the work of all of you is appreciated!
I would like to ask if someone ever managed to make a Portuguese Brazilian Post-SP3 pack. Windows Media Player, .NET, runtimes, they are included?
1. If not, please, how could I do that?
2. Does exist a tool that downloads all the updates and creates the pack?
3. When done, it could be posted at the Onepiece's Skydrive repository?

the tool already exists, its name is DX's UpdatePack/Addon Creator and you can get it here but you need to find the same hotfixes, updates and addition listed in "What's in Onepiece's pack" in your own language.
A member of this forum, George King, uses DXUPAC to build his own Czech updatepack at every Onepiece's en-us release. you could PM him for some tips
