That's kind of what I thought. Thanks for the clarification.keloo05 wrote:These updates are applied to IE6 in this pack. If you need IE8, you have to wait for an updated addon.ltsnow wrote:Since KB2792100 and KB2797052 are included here does that mean we don't need an IE addon update? Thanks so much for your hard work.

Hi, newb here, is there any way how to download the MS win updates (standalone installers) in different langiage?user_hidden wrote: <-all updates from the fisrt post->

Look, you didn't need to copy the list of updates that are included in u_h's update pack. We got what you meant. If you felt a need to be more specific, you could have simply said:
"How can I download the complete set of MS updates that are included in this update pack, but in standalone installer form and in a different language?"
It also might help if you said which language and why you want them in standalone installer form. In other words, tell us exactly what you are trying to do and what you have tried so far.
For the basic question you asked, I'm not aware of any way to download the complete set of XP updates in another language in an automated fashion. There are various update packs available in other languages that include all the updates, but they are not in individual installer format. There are scripts that can download the set of updates, but I'm not sure which languages they are available in. You can also download the MS patch Tuesday ISO files which have all the language files, but they only include the updates that were released that patch Tuesday, so you would have to download a LOT of them to get all the updates you were looking for.
So trim your first post, again please, then tell us in more detail what you are trying to do.
Cheers and Regards

Are these the scripts you're speaking of, bphlpt?
OK, so the case is following:
I'm goging back, from windows7 and I want to edit my instalkation in nLite (like everytime with XP.) And of course I want it updated, I'm going to integrate IE8, WMP11, ... and updates/hotfixes etc.
Since there's no such pack in my language (czech), maybe I can post the list of updates from some other pack (that I don't personally trust) and you guys will be able to tell me add these, delete these ... ?

comctl32.ocx from inside the qfe pack has a the date of the digital signature of 2009...
rick's runtime library pack has the same thing marked 2012...
may I change it with the newer and recompress the QFE pack ?
or it makes a pair with also the older comctl32.DLL ...and therefore better leave the .OCX alone ?
also
mscomctl.ocx...the newest is from 2012 , the one from QFE is 2011
msvcrt10.dll newest is 1994...from QFE pack is 1993
comdlg32.ocx is also 3 years older..
mscomctl32.dll is missing on purpose ?

extracted versions
....................... Rick's AIO : u_h QFE
comctl32.ocx = 6.0.98.34 : 6.0.98.16
comdlg32.ocx = 6.1.98.36 : 6.1.98.16
mscomctl.ocx = 6.1.98.34 : 6.1.98.33
msvcrt10.dll = seems to be the same here
is it all safe to replace those 3 and safely recompress the QFE pack ?
I am trying to isolate libraries from your QFE pack from those of Rick's and Kell's... as each of you are making changes from time to time...including or eliminating libraries...and in order to have them all but to avoid one addon replacing the same files during xp install, I thought to make a separate yet single addon...containing what you did not use inside the QFE pack...and to accomplish that I had to play with file replacements from one side to another and notice file version missmatch and the files that are extra...
I observed one missing library from QFE pack although seems to be from the same class that you decided to implement:
"mscomctl32.ocx"

Nope, RDC works fine on my XP VM, but I don't use any MUI addons either.Outbreaker wrote:HI,

Doesn't work, Rick. I'm having the same problem. It seems to be specific to en-US since mr_smartepants is not having difficulty with the UK locale.
The problem is with Microsoft's new mstscax.dll QFE file from KB2813347. The GDR version works fine.

You can use the Win7 files on XP if you choose, I use RDP 7.0 update along with files from KB2813347 for Windows 7 SP1
You can grab the NON upgraded RTM files from Windows 7 or iso

No word I can find yet from Microsoft concerning the problem. It's not likely to be fixed by this Patch Tuesday.
For the GDR file, download the update package and extract it using the /x switch. The file you want is in the SP3GDR folder. Create a copy of mstscax.dll named lhmstscx.dll. Copy lhmstscx.dll to "system32\DLLCache". Then copy mstscax.dll to system32.

Remote desktop doesn't work again. I had reported another issue almost a year ago and user_hidden was kind enough to include the fix. However, as Microsoft seems determined to prevent remote desktop from working properly, I wish to repeat my last request:
Perhaps you should consider completely removing this particular update from your pack.
